Had to help install an SSD to my desktop. It’s frustrating when you are ready to go, but discover that the cheapo manufacturer didn’t bother to give you mounting screws. The Hardware:-the board spacers SHOULD have come as mounting columns, [with screw holes], and not just as Philips head screws.-Don’t know what the smaller clear washers are for. They don’t seem to fit anything. Maybe someday I’ll know why they were included.

Since the arrival of m.2 SSDs, finding this screw has been the disappointment of all pc builders as these are not readily available as far as I can remember. They do not always come with motherboards, laptops, SSDs and they are not a common size that you can take it from somewhere or might has some extras from other systems. Some motherboards and laptops does not come with one. Hardware store does not carry this and as we all know, Frys, compusa and radioshack are resting in piece and we have no place to drive and buy one of this. I bought this set in advance just to have it and fits perfectly. Did not even know if it was M2 or M3 but I just tried both sets and one fits. Either one has enough width to keep your ssd in place. Do not put a lot of torque, just snug is fine and it will go nowhere so its bet to use its included small screwdriver. No need for threadlocker. Did not try the other ones as I have no use for it, my motherboard came with its own spacers.

There is not a lot to say about this mounting set. It worked well for me because my motherboard did not include a lot of extra mounting screws. It worked well for me, not much more to say.
