Seems like a good cutting tool overall and breaks well. I do feel like it's a little less rugged than I would totally expect from Milwaukee. No fold out for hanging on joists like you see on the larger saws. It cuts through 2x4s but does seem to get hung up easier than a corded saw on larger material. Very portable thanks to the battery and good weight distribution, even with larger batteries.

This has been a very handy tool for light construction - I'm building a shop so lots of 2x lumber to cut. My wife finds it much more useful than my old Model 77 worm drive as it's so much lighter. The safety switch on the handle is a bit awkward, and the depth of cut adjustment is difficult to use while measuring blade stick out. With a thin kerf blade, the cuts per 8 Ah HO battery has been quite good. All in all, an excellent value and a useful addition to my collection of M18 tools.

Nice solid saw to add to my collection of quality dependable tools. Its lightweight design and portability is great. This is considered a trim saw. Keep that in mind when purchasing.

It struggled on thicker materials and often bogged down during cuts. Additionally, the battery life was underwhelming, requiring frequent recharges.
