304 Hex Acorn Cap Nuts
Dome Head Nuts
Used in conjunction with bolts and screws to connect and fasten the parts.
Hex style can make them easy to tighten with a wrench or socket. Be sure not to strip your nuts by over tightening. Use a nut that is consistent with your other fasteners.
Application
They are commonly used for machinery and construction projects because of its sturdy structure. It's very suitable for applications with relatively large locking forces. Ideal used in indoor or outdoor projects.

Stainless Steel 304
Composition
304 (A2) is the most extensively used austenitic stainless-steel. It's also known as stainless steel 18/8 which is derived from the nominal composition of 18% chromium and 8% nickel.
Thanks to the chromium content, 304 stainless steel products show excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance.
Weakness
304 Stainless Steel is more likely to corrode from saline environments in coastal areas. That means grade 316 stainless steel is highly recommended for tough applications under the marine environment where there is more powerful acids and chemicals.

Nice appearance, which is the main reason for acorn nuts. Stainless steel so they should stay nice and never rust. Manufactured well... smooth, threads are clean and turn on easily. Not much else to say about them. I recommend them if you want a nice looking finished project!

I keep a supply of bolts, washers, nuts, lock nuts, etc., on hand of the most common sizes I use, mostly imperial sizes, but am starting to add some metric sizes. These acorn nuts are nice to have for situations where you have the optimum bolt length and want to cap off the end for safety and/or appearance reasons. I tested a random sample on a thread checker set and they all went on and off smotthly. A bonus of these is that they are made of stainless steel, so they will last indefinitely, without rusting, on my projects.

These Stainless Steel metric acorn nuts are great for dressing up engine bays and machineries where you don't want to see the ends of threaded studs. As long as you measure the length of the protruding stud and they are less than the depth of the acorn nuts you are good to go. They are nearly impossible to find in store so having them around is really handy. They are cut well with no burrs, that's something might have to deal with with a cheap poorly cut closed end nut, but that's not a problem with these nuts, these are cut well and spin on smooth.

When you are mocking up a production jig for your workshop, it's really handy to have a variety of nuts, bolts, washers, wingnuts, and end-caps like these. When building or modifying a jig for your router table, or making your own router table-type set up, this sort of hardware is perfect to have on hand and at the ready. Every trip to the hardware store is time off the clock and the clock pays your bills. So, having a stock on hand is conducive to turning inspiration or copy-cat setups into reliable and recyclable jigs, clamps, etc. These are machined well and do the trick.

These are made of good quality 304 SS. You just need to be aware that since it's an acorn cap nut, the bolt you're using has to be just the right length. If the bolt's too long, you'll need to use one or more additional washers to make up the gap. With traditional nuts where the bolts go all the way through the nut, that's not a concern.

The overall height of these nuts is 9.9mm, and provide 7 full turns of thread engagement. Given its corrosion resistance, 304 stainless steel is great for many inside and outside projects, so I always like to have a selection of nuts, bolts, and other hardware on-hand. Cost is always an issue, so finding such items at a good price is a real plus.

I ordered their 2” butterfly bolt nut, and wanted to put an end cap nut on it instead of a standard nut., and these Hex Dome Head Cap Nuts worked perfectly, and looked great. I have been building a collection of all their products over the past few months, and this is just as I expected, it is well made, and fits perfectly on the butterfly bolt.All I can say is everything I have ordered so far form AOESIN has worked as well or better than I could have asked for.
