Got this as a gift for my wife who said she wanted a new knee for her birthday. She laughed pretty good. it is okay but a little delicate.

Purchased this model during the Black Friday Sales for my partner who is a physio. He asked for some anatomical models for Christmas. The item is as described and came well packaged. The base is already attached to this model so there is not assembly requirements. This knee model has a great degree of flexibility and would be perfect for students/ those in practice who may wish to demonstrate things to their patients.Overall the item is as described and fit for its intended purpose so I cannot fault it.Thank you seller.

This is a very good model of the knee -- arguably the most complex joint in the body. It is anchored to the base although it can be disassembled if necessary. The model would be an excellent aid for students taking an A&P course. It shows all the bones participating in the joint and the important bony landmarks. The model is flexible so the femur can rotate inward (medially) or outward (laterally) and can also move in the anterior/posterior plane to demonstrate flexion and extension of the leg at the knee (bending/straightening) and showing how the patella moves over the trochlear surface of the femur. Of course, in reality the tibia and fibula move as well. The quadriceps tendon with the patella and patellar ligament is shown along with other major ligaments (medial collateral ligament, medial meniscus, lateral collateral ligament, lateral meniscus, and the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments) and their points of attachment. The model is well made and feels sturdy. I thought it was strange that this model doesn't include even a very simple key so a reference of some sort will likely be needed for those just learning the structure of the knee (any A&P textbook or one of the many free on-line A&P resources will do). The model is currently priced at $29.98 down from the original price of $39.98 and I think it is well worth it.

Great, accurate knee model including cruciate ligaments and MCL LCL. Great view of the patellofemoral articulation for teaching patients and students.
