Accidentally left in sun once but was closed. It was a 105 degree day. Since then I kept showing no chlorine in my pool. I could smell it so took a sample and local pool store said I had to much chlorine. So, I'm assuming the sun day caused the issue.

Tests chlorine and acid levels! Negative is bottles to small need larger size? Just gotta buy more bottles won't last long per 5 drops per test? Easy to use just compare the color to test container used! Rinse and repeat until you run out of the small bottle used! Fairly accurate and small item to store away. Keeps your pool at the correct PH level a must for keeping your pool at the correct levels!A TEST KIT WORTH BUYING FOR YOUR POOL A+

My inline chlorinator in the salt pool stopped working - time for a new cell. My pool tech monitors Cl and pH but I wanted to monitor during the in between visit periods, so I bought this test kit. Both colors are off the scale when using the prescribed number of reagent drops. I know there is very little Cl, because the generator was not making any.I can't recommend this kit from my experience. I can't believe the results.

I purchased this water test to measure the chlorine and pH balance in our hot tub spa, and it works as I expected it would. I marked it down one star, because the test kit requires you to use five drops of solution in each vial (some kit only use four drops of solution), so with daily testing the solution vials will empty more quickly and need to be replaced more often (this is not a big deal but worth noting). Also, the quality of testing kit reservoir is marginal, as they seem to develop a foggy appearance after being placed in the water, as if the seal along the vial is leaking. It's not a major deal, but can sometimes make it challenging to read the results accurately, which are based on color gradients (shades of yellow for chlorine and shades of orange for pH). So, I need to leave the container lid open so the vial can completely dry. Overall, this kit is easy to use and a good value for the price.
