I hunt hog at night and I like to see the arrow travel to target, helps me know which direction to head. Lumenok is a great brand, although I believe slightly overpriced.

The Lumenok's fit well in my crossbow bolts. Was blessed to shoot a six point buck in a swamp just before dark. I was very impressed with the brightness and how quickly I found my bolt to check for blood. Had to go back in the morning to find the deer and forgot I left the bolt at first blood and the nock was still shining bright. Great nocks !!

I REALLY wanted these to work, but sadly no matter what I did I couldn't get my crossbow bolts to group. I took these off my bolts and they grouped tight. I put them back on and just couldn't get them to group. They work well, light up brightly and IF they grouped they would be awesome.

I purchased the nocks for Easton Headhunter carbon arrows. It is difficult to get the specifications for ID of arrows and OD of nocks. I still do not know the OD of the nocks but the advertisement said up to .301 inches. I measured the ID of my bolts with calipers (not very accurate way to do it) and it was .298. I had to start the nock into the bolt then I clamped the bolt and nock in a pipe clamp and cranked the clamp until the nock seated. At that point the nock light was on. I had to clamp the nock in a vise and wiggle the bolt excessively to get the light to turn off. This morning I got out of my truck at 5:30 and the temperature was 20 degrees F. I loaded my crossbow ant the nock lit up. I Could not get it to turn off. Left it in the truck. I would not recommend these to anyone.

These are nice lighted knocks but they fit too tight to pull out for turning the lights off. You need a plier to pull them out (slightly) of the bolt shaft in order to break the circuit. Make sure you cover the knocks with something soft otherwise the plier jaws will mar their surface. The bolt end must be cut perpendicular to the shaft otherwise the metal contacts on the knock may not touch the carbon or metal shaft to complete the circuit. Many times bolt ends are not square from the factory.Burt Coyote sells a device to square bolt ends but I used a piece of sandpaper tapped to my table saw fence and gently ground the shaft end using a miter gauge to keep the shaft squared. It does not take a lot to get the bolt end squared to its shaft so go slow. NOTE: if you want to use this method make sure the table saw is disconnected from the outlet. You do not need the cutting blade on the table saw; just the fence and miter gauge.Another thing is that the back of the bolt will be lighter with these nocks installed - the weight that you take off is more than the weight you put on; the difference was around 15 grains on average in my case. Test the bolt flight dynamics after installing these knocks to make sure of impact point. Good luck.
