Your cart is empty.The lift-action, polypropylene barrel pump with removable spout is for transferring non-corrosive fluids of light to medium viscosity like, anti-freeze, motor oils, transmission fluid, automotive additives, etc. It fits 15 to 55 gallon drums (210 liter) with standard 2 inches bung opening is self priming, a precision Teflon seal that eliminates by-pass, and a nickel plated steel piston for durability. It comes with an adjustable 2 inches bung bushing, a 34 inches polypropylene suction tube, and a discharge spout that can be rotated 180° and can be removed to expose a garden hose threaded outlet. The description of this product says it is suitable for use in the food industry, and one of the images on the main product page shows a chart of all the food products that are safe to use with this product. However, when the product arrives, the documentation with it says in bold letters, "This product is not suited for use with water or fluids for human consumption." That is frustrating. The product is completely misrepresented in the description.

This item works great and really delivers a lot of fluid on each up stroke of the handle. I'm mainly writing this review to note that a standard garden hose can not be threaded onto the unit by removing the nozzle. The threads are a larger and much more course. In fact the threads on this are no kind of standard threads resembling a pipe thread or those on a bolt or garden hose. The end of the nozzle was slightly more than the I.D. of a 5/8 nominal diameter garden hose, so I was able to slide a cut end of hose onto that and come up with something that still worked for me. The threads on the base of the pump where too small to work on my drum also. I can't swear that my plastic drum has a standard 2" bung opening in the top. I didn't have any calipers to measure which was correct. It still worked even though the pump wasn't threaded into the drum. An added feature I noticed that might come in handy, is that once you get the pump primed with one or two strokes.. if you leave the handle all the way up after an upstroke, it leaves the valve open and you can have a siphon working for you if your heights are enough.
