These are...awful. If you have a window even 36 x 36 (relatively small), you cannot get them lifted up even half way to let daylight in, because the clips only hold 5-7 pleats, and the material is thick like painters canvas. They are heavy and absolutely horrendous to remove. Once you peel them off from whichever surface you stuck them to, the adhesive film is completely left behind and takes a strong adhesive remover, which you have to follow up with a lot of scraping, and then repainting. The only time I can see these getting more stars is if you fully intend to never open the blinds and never remove them. Get the paper blinds that block the same amount of light and give you zero of these issues.

I had read the reviews before I purchased. However now reading reviews I see more people having same issues as I. Adhesive seemed to be strong enough to hold it but when you pull on it to extend to the 72" as advertised, it will not extend and stay and the adhesive lets loose. I decided to use it only as far as it would extend but the adhesive still releases in a few days. My house is historical and I didn't want to have to put screws into the wood around the window but looks like I have to instead of adhesive. The fabric does black out the sun but it won't stay attached.

Just fell off the ceiling one afternoon, pulled itself free of the sticky "tape" so can't be recured. Accordian-like design means it doesn't open nearly as far as it should. Just buy real blinds like an adult. This was a waste of my money.

I used these blinds for my basement Windows. They work wonderfully! I used the clips that came with the blinds and drilled Them around my frames to hold the blinds

10 Stars. No Complaints. They arrived quickly. Well packaged. Sturdy, Strong material. I'm very pleased, especially 2 curtains for the price of one.I decided to sleep with these curtains underneath my mattress (4 days) to stretch them out.No drilling needed. I just did my measurements and used a white pencil to mark where I needed to cut. I cleaned the surface area first then put it up. Easy Peasy. Will definitely purchase these again if I have to.

I needed blackout blinds for my bedroom window since I sleep during the day and work nights. These were the cheapest I could find. They were a little hard to cut to size, but installing them was easy. So far the adhesion stick is holding well. The downfall is they are hard to pull down and push up. But overall they work pretty well blocking 95% of daylight.

We bought these because my husband and I work night shifts. I cannot sleep with any brightness in the room, and I wanted everything to be pitch black. This product came when it was supposed to and my husband measured it, cut it with a sharpened kitchen knife and hung it up. So far so good.😊 Our bedroom is totally dark now, I'm loving it! We don't have plans of raising the blinds to let the sun in our room, we'd rather allow it to be stationary. I'm just praying the adhesive works well and that we won't have to purchase the tape to secure it. I think one tip that will actually work is before sticking it up, clean the window or whatever surface you're gonna stick this to with alcohol, if it's not contraindicated. I just find that the adhesive sticks better if there's no oil or powder to render the tape useless or ineffective. Highly recommended! Good job and more power to all of you!

These work great for blocking light, I got them to hang on a window that is behind my back in my home office (so the light reflects on my computer screen.) They were easy to install and stuck pretty well for a month or so, but because the window gets a lot of sun the adhesive weakened and they fell. I have them clipped to the front of the blinds with binder clips and that works just fine. They are a little tough to stretch down but you can use the clips to clip them to blinds and that works ok.

Made of fabric and not paper, these are pretty rugged and well made folding shades. They work really well, providing you know how to cut them to length. After some trial and error, I found using a sharp knife, like a heavy duty kitchen knife or Swiss-Army knife, works very well. Cut with the adhesive side facing the top and it will slice very easily. Remember, you can always cut it shorter, but you can't cut it longer :)Before sticking it to the top of the window header, stretch out the blind to its full length. If you don't stretch it out ahead of time, it will put a lot of stress on the adhesive strip when you pull on it after installation.I've included two pictures, showing how well it looks installed in a regular window (34 1/2" width) and a window with an AC unit installed. It works perfectly for both applications. The best feature is the room darkening / blackout ability of the shades. If you cut the width of the shade to the exact width of the inside of the window, absolutely NO LIGHT will get though. It's great for sleeping in, or if you work nights like I do sometimes, and need to sleep during the daytime.Definitely worth the price. Enjoy!

We installed these in my toddler daughter’s room. We had standard plastic mini blinds and then heavy duty Black out curtains over the top. Which worked but only blocked about 40% of the light coming through the windows.Since switching my daughter out of her crib she has been waking up several hours earlier than she ever had. So, I assumed it was due to the light in the room and tried to find something to remedy it at a reasonable cost, since I wasn’t sure that was really the issue.I bought these and removed the mini blinds, and switched the curtains from being the heavy duty black out to just “room darkening” curtains instead hoping these shades would make up for the difference. The light is at least 80% blocked now. Some of that is due to us not cutting the shades the perfect size. We didn’t have a box cutter so the knife we used was less precise. You can still see a little light coming through the shades, I wish these were just slightly thicker and they would be 100% black out. However, for the price these did the trick and look pretty nice. My only other complaint is that it literally just came with binder clips to hold open. Not the clips that were shown in some of the pics, that are white and can kind hold them open and let them fan out down. I thought that looked really neat and was one of my reasons for purchasing.I planned to use pictures to show the difference, but I couldn’t get a realistic depiction of how dark one was vs the other. The first day after switching to these, my daughter was back to sleeping till her usual time! No more waking up with the sun!
