The reviews were encouraging and this protector certainly fits the California King mattress well but it is a plastic-like material that rustles when moved and acts as an over effective heat insulator. Our under fleece mattress blanket slid freely and my restless sleeping, heat generating husband could not cope. Sadly I have to admit that with hindsight I would not have bought this. We now have an expensive dust cover idling in a bag in our garage.

Ich bin nicht wirklich begeistert von diesem Produkt. Es hat an der Innenseite ein seltsames Gummiband um die gesamte Länge, weswegen es extrem schwierig ist das Ding schön auf die Matratze zu machen. Ich kann dieses Produkt nicht wirklich weiterempfehlen. Es ist einfach zu seltsam aufzubauen.

I got the mattress protector for my children’s beds. Mainly cause they spill everything on their mattress. So it works as far as water resistance. It’s a great material so it’s definitely holding up. The biggest downfall is that it doesn’t fit the mattress. First off it is exactly what it says “encasement” so it basically has to be put on the mattress like youd put a glove on. Slide it on from one of the ends. But you have to zip it partially or it won’t go on. My second issue is that it doesn’t stay on the edges. The top portion (which is waterproof) is also fitted like a sheet. They won’t stay on the corners no matter how much you fight with it. When I finally did get all 4 corners on there was a pretty visible air bubble between the mattress and the protector. That made putting on a fitted sheet on top of it difficult. Either way it works for water repellent but be aware you may need another person to help, or room to move the mattress around to get the protector on.

I bought this for an older pillow top mattress that I have been using when staying at my parents. In the past, I have had problems finding encasements for very thick mattresses and "sized up". I didn't want to do that this time as I wanted it to be easy and neat for my parents. This fits perfectly and has room to spare, but the elastic pulls it tight enough it looks like it was made for the mattress. It also feels wonderful to the touch - soft and not stiff like some covers. Although it doesn't seem as air tight as some of the encasements I have gotten in the past, I noticed an immediate improvement in my allergies when I woke up the next morning.The only issue I had was figuring out what direction the cover went on. I felt kind of stupid looking for directions, but with the elastic all the way around it is hard to tell which side is the longer side. I actually put in on upside down thinking the elastic would go on top and pull over the sides like a fitted sheet. Once it was on, it was easy to tell that I was wrong and the elastic goes on the bottom to pull it tight. But even with that snafu, I was able to get it on by myself without any physical difficulty. I just slid the end of the mattress off of the box spring and then slipped on the bottom. Then wiggled it up to the top and zipped it up. It slid on very well and unlike some of my other covers I didn't feel like it was going to tear with every tiny tug.All in all it seems to be a great cover. After one week of use I haven’t woken up congested and miserable once. I really wish there were some indication of top/bottom and sides just to make it easier, but the elastic made the fit so much better than my other encasements that I can’t knock any stars off for that. Also the durability and softness of the material seems to be steps above what I have gotten in the past. As long as it remains as air tight as it seems to be I will be very happy.

My boyfriend and I went to visit his family and they failed to tell us they had bed bugs. We ended up taking the annoying pests home and found our bedroom infested and us scratching like crazy. We keep a clean home and never dealt with bed bugs before. We were unsure of what to do, so we turned to the internet for guidance. We ended up buying some bed bug spray and dousing everything in our room which helped, but there were still bugs. We read that getting the box spring protector and mattress protector can work wonders, but we didn't want to spend a ton of money when we just shelled out over $100 on sprays. We found this one and ordered it since it was such a good price and had good reviews.Upon receiving the item, I was very satisfied with the material. It is very comfortable to sleep on and soft to the touch. This material doesn't make weird noises when you lay on it either. The zipper goes around 3 sides of the protector making it easier to put on the mattress. This fit perfectly on my king size mattress that is 15". I did have to put it on by myself which was a task, but it can be done. I sprayed everything down again before putting this protector on and since that day I've seen no more bed bugs and I haven't scratched once! We took many steps to ensure we got rid of the bugs, but I definitely feel this was one of the most vital! I love the product and recommend it to anyone looking for a great product at a great price!UPDATE: Still love the mattress protector... Even more now! Our puppy had an accident on the bed and we unzipped the protector to make sure it didn't get on the mattress and it didn't! Also, we were able to wipe down the protector with a cloth, soap, and water and the stain came out easily and immediately! It was like wiping off a tablecloth or something! Really great product!!
