2. Pull the thread and hook off the gridline
3. Push the hook into the coil
4. Put the loose thread into the slot
5. Then pull the hook out

Overall satisfied. Most of the reviews were on point. Yarns are flimsy. Wonderful gift for a little girl 👧. This creation was made with two kits. My years of experience have taught me that using two kits will provide a thickness which creates a fuller finish. I wait till they go on sale and then buy two. Photo were taken in two different locations. The one to the left is the true coloring. It was taken under a lite area.

This was an excellent craft. I went off of the pattern on the paper and it worked out great. Everything was clear and was fun to make.

While this kit is fun and a good pass time activity, the quality of the materials are cheap but fair for the price. So I guess you get what you pay for. Something to keep in mind is that the yarn colors are not accurate to the picture. And the the crochet hook it comes with, while it will get the job done, it's not comfortable to grip for long periods of time with its skinny handle. At least for me. Luckily, I already have my own crochet hook on hand that's better.Overall, this still can make a good craft gift for anyone new to latch hook kits. But as far as doing this as a long term hobby, I suggest a different, higher quality brand.

Overall, pretty decent so far, only about 1/4 of the way through but it's nice that it's already affixed to a nonslip backing so it can legitimately be used as a rug. Some of the yarn is SUPER short, but not a lot, maybe like 5% total. Latch hook tool is a little flimsy feeling but it works pretty well. Overall, for the price, pretty damn good

Didnt take too long to finish and the rug is color guided but the colors dont match so use the paper they give you. Came out super cute when done, exactly as pictured

It has been years since I've done latch hook and thought it would be nice to find a couple for me and my 9 yr old to do together. I got her the Latchkits rainbow and I got this wolf kit for myself. The canvas is very nice, with the complete edging and backing. It comes in a nice folder type of container with a snap closure...very nice way to store it even when you are finished. I love everything about it except the tool. The tool is thin and very cheap. Unfortunately between the hook and the dangle part where you wrap the yarn over, the tool is rough and the canvas and yarn both have caught on it and has snared me more than a handful of times. Since it has been years since I've done this I don't have any extra tools laying around to replace so I'm going to buy another one to continue. I love it otherwise!

There are two things that I don't like about this kit. The wool is identified by letters which is good, but the paper pattern is the same and it is so small and with the letters running into each other makes it difficult to see. It is so small that I used my tablet to take a picture of the area to see what letters I need to use. My eye sight is quite good, but this is so tiny it adds eye strain. The rug hook tool that they sent is useless in my opinion. It is smaller than a pencil and be difficult to get a grip on.For the pro's they did a nice job on the backing and I think once I get over the letter issue it will turn out fine. I have done a lot rug hooking and normally the canvas has the same colors that you need to use to do the rug. Not in this case. They only outline the wolves head. I would not buy another of these from Lubots.
