Micidiale.

The locking slide and 3 slide prongs would not move initially, but a little extra pressure using a flat blade screwdriver and application of liquid silicone freed the lock to slide smoothly. I think I was fortunate as this was one of four different batteries for different laptops, and this one DID fit my Lenovo W530. If you notice, there are multiple letter/number and model number combinations in the descriptions for these batteries. Probably you should mostly disregard the laptop model name/number, which was how I ordered. Rather look for a letter/number combination on the battery itself and search for that to find the exact replacement needed. Better yet, some batteries have closeup photos of the battery and you can see if the replacement number matches the number on your battery. If it does, then it should fit.

This battery is perfectly fine for the price. It's not perfect or as good as the OEM but it's cheap and works well and has thus far been exactly what I thought it would be. I recommend it. Read the pro-tip below to understand some of the negative reviews to make your own informed decision.Pro-tip: Many of the bad reviews revolve around the battery reporting back at 71 watt-hours. Coincidentally, this exactly what the 45N1001 battery is rated for.... BUT, there is a caveat. This battery isn't actually a 45N1001 it is just reporting itself as one. Heck, it is an aftermarket part not made by Lenovo obviously.Modern batteries for laptops have firmware or certain characteristics that present itself to the operating system as a certain kind of battery. The group who made this aftermarket battery copied a 45N1001 but gave it more capacity. The operating system says "This battery is a 45N1001 and therefore it's rated capacity is 71 watt-hours". There were many versions of this battery, the 45N1000, the 45N1005 etc. Some were 57 watt-hours, some were 94 watt hours, others were 71, others still were 91 watt-hours etc. The 45N1001 was the very first version of the extended battery that worked with every version of the laptop that accepted this kind of battery. Look just how many models this thing works for. Also note, the battery says 70++. That isn't an accident. That is 70+ Watt-hours, which this battery is. The people who mention it isn't 94 watt-hours are right, and may have a legit complaint with the wording for sure, but anyone who knows how these batteries work realize that 94 watt-hours is pie in the sky even directly from Lenovo when these laptops were new. Basically it's letting you know that this works for any of the versions from 71-94 Watt-hours.BOTTOM LINE: SO WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS BATTERY THEN? I'M SO CONFUSED! -- Good me too, but after doing research and real world testing I can report this battery is mostly equivalent to the 45N1007 (even though it reports to the OS as a 45N1001 which is needed to keep the battery compatible across all firmware and all models). The actual watt-hours after 5 tests, tested out to be just under 84 watt-hours which matches the 45N1007 spec of 84.24, which given temperature variations and discharge rate etc. is right there. You are getting an 84.24 Watt-hour battery, not a 71WH or 94WH. For this price it's worth it.As a final note: There may be some people who did get a bad battery or it tested out to be 71 WH in which case I'd be peeved, but what it reports to the OS is meaningless, what it can actually do is what matters. The best I can ever remember seeing out of these things straight from Lenovo was around 90WH IIRC so I'm fine with 84.

Needed a new battery with the 70+ rating for the Lenovo W530 laptop I have. This was very cheap in comparison to the battery from Lenovo direct, yet works just as well so far. I haven't had the battery for too long, so I cannot comment on battery life in how long the battery will last in terms of total usable life. But the charge for the battery seems to be as good as the Lenovo direct battery. I am running the W530 on Mint Linux and use the machine every day. I haven't run the battery completely down, yet. But am testing this now and will update when I can (the Mint Linux OS battery meter indicates a little over 4 hours, which I believe is accurate). I get no crazy notices saying that this is a 3rd party battery and not charge properly, so that is a major difference I see from other non-official batteries being offered. If I can, I will update this review with a long term update to let everyone know if anything changes.

Battery died after 2 months. These are definitely not new batteries being sold and this product needs to be delisted.

The "new" battery that I ordered as I opened it clearly had hand written sticky note saying bad and a quality control document stating that the charge would not go to 40% of full charge.I have a T430Edit: The replacement I got, after some research was an aftermarket part. This is supposed to be understood when they list two of the three product numbers at the end of the description. (45N1011 45N1010) The number 0A36303 is the one you want. This is the battery that will be accepted by laptops after 2012 and will have the chip that your laptop will desire so that it will charge. The other two are aftermarket and will have the possibility of not giving you an error but the laptop will not charge it (OR CHARGE EXTREMELY SLOWLY). So yes based on the description you will have the chance of getting a 0A36303. The other major issue that keeps popping up is the laziness (false advertising) that the battery is 94Wh. This will likely not be the case as other reviewers pointed out.Don't buy this listed product because it likely will be an aftermarket part that will not be chargeable in the long term (mine charged slowly for a week before computer stating it would not charge). This is a known issue that Lenovo is dealing with. I have a Ph.D. in material science and will likely answer some questions if comments are made on this post. Are the aftermarket batteries themselves bad? I don't know, but Lenovo doesn't want to spend their money on quality control of other manufacturers. Early aftermarket batteries were causing fires (they were not designed with the fast charging technology, good battery materials, etc). So they implemented a design so Lenovo customers would at least not be getting a fire hazard. (the cost of batteries from Lenovo website is not going to be discussed by me, that is another matter)
