  • For use with Lovejoy L type Jaw style flexible coupling assembly (sold separately)
  • Iron sintered with powdered metals for strength, durability, and corrosion resistance
  • Transfers shock and misalignment to the center element of the coupling assembly for reduced wear on the shaft assembly
  • Country of origin: United States

This Lovejoy jaw coupling hub replaces hubs on Lovejoy L type jaw style flexible couplings and is made of iron sintered with powdered metals for strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. This hub transfers shock and misalignment from the shaft to the center element of the coupling assembly for reduced wear on the shaft assembly. Lovejoy Jaw style couplings are suitable for use in various industrial power transmission applications such as compressors, blowers, pumps, conveyors, mixers, and gear boxes, among others.

Flexible couplings are used to link two rotating shafts that are not aligned in order to transmit the rotational power, known as torque, from one shaft to the other. Most flexible couplings consist of two hubs and a middle assembly; each hub attaches to a shaft while the middle assembly flexes between the hubs to accommodate the misalignment of the two shafts. Shaft misalignments are generally either parallel or angular and cause complications to transmitting rotational power from one shaft to another in the form of stresses, loads, vibrations, and other forces, which vary from one type of misalignment to another. Flexible couplings are used in a broad range of applications, such as in motor vehicles, conveyors, escalators, agricultural, forestry and mining equipment, aeronautics, robotics and space exploration, among others.

Lovejoy manufactures flexible couplings, universal joints, variable speed drives and various other transmission and mechanical power products. Their products meet the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) for quality assurance. The company, founded in 1900, is based in Downers Grove, IL.

Great couplers. Converted all of my CNC machines to them.

Direct replacement for my front mount PTO. The old lovejoy couplings had sheared, there was no spider. I ordered 2 of these and a spider, seems to be holding up well. Only complaint is shipping. Received one coupling with the spider on a Friday. The other coupling arrived on Monday.due to weather conditions. Guess they came from different locations? My weekend project turned into a next weekend project.

Picture is wrong, actual item has 3 interlocking pieces vs. 2 in picture. Item matched the LOVEJOY INC. L-090 1.000 The LOVEJOY INC bar code number (68514431296) matched the number referenced in this listing. Product hooked up with Briggs & Stratton engine on 35-ton Huskee Log splitter. Perfect fit.

these were easy to change and work great. just be carefull lining up the two shafts, and put the larger coupling on first and slide the plastic spider into the larger one before sliding in the smaller shaft.

This was to couple a old lawn tractor motor to a hydraulic pump to power a wood splitter. These couplings are tough but allow for a little misalignment when hand building the mounts for the motor and pump. Fit was perfect. Coupling was steel. It worked great.

It replaced coupler from a 50 year old wood splitter due to engine dying; I looked all over and found the only decent size chart to replace coupler for a different engine on amazon. Everything went together well. Coupler works great. An old snowblower engine and this part saved me a lot of money

I feel if we on Ebay would request that the things we buy are MADE IN THE USA thet America would again be strong. Most foregn (sp) products are cheeeeeep replicas of a former good named product that don't last very long and are made in SLAVE type conditions and compete directly with USA products. Sure they cost more BUT we'd all be working if WE made the things that we consume. Also the LOCAL companies would be held responsible for the QUALITY and SAFTEY of the product and Profits would be reasonable------ BUY AMERICAN====== THANKS
