These are the best stand lights I’ve ever used and I’ve been using them for years. The battery and lights will get tired over a period of years so I get a new one every few years do I can always have a spare. And, they are made in the US!

I’ve owned this light for almost three years now. I’m a trained musician with over 60 years of experience doing vocals, playing the tenor sax, piano, and clarinet. I’ve performed in a wide variety of venues, many of which were not well lit (nor were they places my momma would have approved of). I’ve owned plenty of music stand lights, including a flashlight and some duct tape. This light has been a dream! It will burn for hours without needing a charge. It’s light, easy to clip on and operate, and puts out SO much light. I seldom ever use it on high as it is a bit too much for me. And in the really dark spots I often just use the lowest setting with no problem seeing the music. I took pictures of the three settings with the highest setting on the left and the lowest on the right. The camera in my iPad doesn’t clearly capture the difference that nor does it do justice to the amount of light output, but it gives some idea of the range.The price is HIGH! But you do get what you pay for, and I appreciate that this lamp is made here in the USA. Three years with lots of use and no problems and still going strong. For me, it is well worth the price. It may very well outlast me at this point in life. I don’t think you will go wrong with this quality product. I highly recommend it.Make some music and be careful in the really dark places!

This is an amazing music stand light! It is pricey, but totally worth the $. It’s brighter than any other light and it illuminates 2+ pages fully. It does not disturb people sitting nearby. It’s also very adjustable to accommodate different heights of music and page turns. It does not block your view of a conductor or other players. It’s great to have the rechargeable batteries and it even recharges on a car charger (but at a much slower rate). The included carrying case keeps all the parts together nicely.

This light is very bright! As a trumpet player who plays a lot of jazz it's important to have a light that will illuminate 3 pages of a chart on a stage. This does that great. The light I have been using was a Mighty Bright -- which is also quite nice -- but the Lotus was probably 2x better than that (albeit for 3x the price). But hey, just like the horn, mouthpiece, etc. having the *best* tool makes the job easier. If I could find a mouthpiece that was 2x better for 3x the price -- well you get the point.I have not had the light long enough to validate, but the battery specs seem to be very good as well and rechargeable from USB source. The only two improvements I'd make are (1) the case (though nice) is ill conceived to put the light back into. I suspect I'll find a different more useful case at some point. (2) the charging cable is a USB at the brick end -- but for some reason has a custom barrel connector at the light end! Why not use a standard USB cable so others can be used? I think I will have to make/buy another before I misplace (i.e. lose) the one they provided. It is long though for use on stage when the nearest power might be a few yards away. My old mighty bright has a 12' cable -- and I can attest that having a long cable on stage is quite handy.Update after owning for a couple of years now. I recently lost the stand clip -- it slides off the light quite easily and can remains on a stand somewhere. But, the excellent website for Lotus lights allowed me to purchase a replacement clip for a very reasonable price. I also took the opportunity to pick up a spare charging cable -- as it has a non-standard barrel connector on the light end. Finally, I replaced the provided case with a cheap 16" laptop sleeve (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VFLWBFP?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). Before, it was a challenge to put the light and accessories back in the Lotus provided bag. The new sleeve case makes it easy to store the light, cables, and even an external battery pack. So all is good.

Life is typically full of compromises, and this certainly applies to most man-made devices. So on those rare occasions when I encounter an engineering creation that gets everything right, I want to be sure others are aware. I need a good amount of light, evenly distributed across 2 or 3 pages of music when I play clarinet, and this is exactly what I get. The option to use the lamp in AC mode and then easily convert it to battery mode without having to worry about battery age is perfect. And to know any phone charger will provide the needed 5V is wonderful. Even the clip is so well designed—it feels quite secure on the music stand. It’s been well designed also to avoid glare reaching the eyes of other folks. It even travels in pretty compact fashion. One is forced to reflect on true design craftsmanship versus cheap manufacturing approaches anew. It does in fact make sense that the former should cost quite a bit more than the latter. Finally, a thought about the two sizes this product comes in: I really can’t imagine that the smaller version could possibly provide the evenness of light that the roughly twice as wide version does, although I’ve personally used only the wider one. Unless you are only reading music of single page width, my advice would be to opt for the larger unit (Pro 14).
