It’s exactly as it says.They are extremely heavy duty and perfect for hanging our black banner on stage.Because they are black, they blend right in with any black background.The only thing that will fail in the long run, would be the black plastic sleeves/covers on the handles. They might slip off if not careful because they are not glued on for some reason.Besides that, great clamps!

I use these to hold tarps and covers onto my deck and yard furniture and they work very well. Last year I bought plastic ones...they did not last. I would purchase these again.

Got these to use at the barn. The clips have nice rubber tips on the ends so they don’t damage or catch on things but still hold really well. Big enough and strong enough, well made.

These clams are alright. I would call them medium strength. The plastic tips fall off easily, they are not tight fitting or secured in anyway. They only clamp at the very tip, with or without the plastic ends.

For photographers, the two most important features of pony clamps are: The rubber tips stay on better than other clamps I’ve ever used, the clamps are black and throw the least amount of glare/reflection compared to other clamps I’ve used.We’ve had these at the photo studio I work at for over a year and they’re way better than all the other pony clamps laying around. These are the ones everybody goes for when they are looking for a clamp. The build quality is great.The rubber tips can come off now and then but it’s not at all as often as other clamps. This is the only reason i didn’t give them 5 stars. Nor does the metal tip of the clamps wear through the rubber tip, defeating its purpose. The rubber used on these clamps is different than the usual pony clamp.

Lots and tough for the money! Perfect for clamping fencing to my deck 2 X 4s. I need to be able to move the fencing for snow removal but have it to keep my dogs safe.

I bought these clamps to hold down a "temporary" covering for the plywood roof over a heat pump when supply chain issues prevented the metal roofing's arrival before an early snowfall. Clamps are still holding everything in place, all nice and dry, since summer rains prevented the roofing project. Now a contractor has all his "stuff" in front of my roof metal. I bet these clamps will hold through another winter. Even with a lot of snow and ice coming off the roof last winter, they didn't budge. I checked them for rust, and that was my surprise -- no rust after nearly a year of snow and rain.

I'm honestly surprised to find myself writing a review of clamps, equally surprised at the number of people who left negative reviews.I use a lot of clamps in the photo studio to hold up backgrounds, to keep seamless paper rolls from unraveling, to attach flags to booms, and to attach alls manner of items to other items to get the shot I want. I tend to view clips like this as disposable, and am used to them breaking or failing. I ordered these because they had the Amazon's Choice, and was legitimately surprised when I pulled them out of the package.They are solidly built of metal. The spring is strong. The matte black finish is less garish than most of the metal clips I've tried (most of which are shiny bright orange or blue), and the black rubber coating doesn't leave marks on paper or cardboard or anything else I've used them on. For my purposes, these are just amazing, and easily the best ones I've tried. The bar is, admittedly low, but I'm honestly impressed with the quality and finish of these clamps, especially compares to the price, and expect these will be my go-to from now on.
