My Mini Golden Doodle absolutely loves this toy! He is very energetic and I use it inside and outside. In the grass and in the snow! He goes crazy over chasing it and leaps for it non stop. It also is a wonderful tool to use when we are teaching him leave it on command.

This has held up to my multiple large dogs playing with it pretty rough and shaking it around without any visible damage. I like that it easily collapses back down for travel as well with the little carrying bag

I own a 30 lb Jack Russel Terrier mix. On the 3rd playtime with this item the rod broke in half. It is lightweight, easy to compact and store, and provides a quick and easy way to give your pet an engaging active playtime. My dog is full of energy and very athletic. If there was a version of this with a stronger pole I would buy it.

We have a 3 month old Aussie who was jumping and biting us a lot. Our trainer recommended we get this to keep him focused on our side not our body. We use this to wear him out and keep him from jumping on us. It’s a durable material and the value is good - it breaks down so the size can be good for portability and packs nicely into his crate. The little attachments are made from nice material that vary to keep his interest. Its noise free, and has had a good impact on his behavior and performance

The string is too long. Then end hook unscrews and comes off easily. Need this to be permanently fixed instead of a screw,

After only 2 times using this the pole folded in half and broke. Don't waste your time with this cheap Chinese junk

My dogs were in love with this toy… for the short-lived 2 days before it was destroyed. The attachment rope broke while playing tug. My dogs are 35lbs for reference.

Our maltipoo puppy has the attention span of . . . well, a puppy. He plays with his toys and then loses interest. Like many maltipoos, he is not very motivated by food either. BUT he loves this fishing rod toy! He enjoys catching the rope over and over and over and over and over. I was very impressed with the quality of this toy, too. It is sturdy metal and has a nice handle that makes it easy to hold and control. It comes with two nylon lines and three good rope toys, all packed into a handy carrying bag with a drawstring. Excellent purchase.

We loved this toy for the first few days that we had it. It was great to get the energy out of my dogs however, after a few days of playing with it I noticed that the top part was starting to bend. We stopped playing with it for another few days and then broke it out again to play except it snapped. The metal is really sharp and I don’t know about anyone else but my dogs felt the break and RAN with the broken part they had. If you have tough dogs then this is not for you.

Good quality. My pitbull loves this toy and I love how durable it is, she definitely puts it to the test. I also like how many toys come with it for attachments. Watch any flirt pole training video on YouTube and make sure your dog can stop play and drop a toy before playing to keep this safer for you & your dog. I warn to use with caution in certain dogs because my dog has the speed, strength and drive to make it a bit risky. For example, she accidentally wrapped the pole cord around my ankle chasing the toy. I was able to stop her and unwrap the cord before it caused injury. Also a dog jumping high if you flick the toy high in the air can injure them. I watched a couple training videos with guidelines on how to play with a flirt pole and that helped. Also play outdoors in a yard clear of obstacles nearby, other people & especially kids. Some dogs while chasing the toy on the pole can get pretty intense and run into things. Great tool for training impulse control.
