When a Shurflo pump stops or becomes temperamental (only working when you jiggle the wires) the chances are it's the micro switch that is burnt out. If one of the plastic connectors, going into the pressure switch, is brown or discoloured it definitely is.

A great alternative, saved money by replacing just the failed switch and not the whole pump. Great to keep spares, a fellow camper might need help. 🙂

I use these fairly often as my 12v pumps are unregulated. They last about 3 months or so until they burn out but I accept that. They’re cheap and arrive quickly.

I don't suppose this item would be something the average house holder would or could use. There are a few variables to know before ordering, but any repair shop would be able to install it very easily.

Please Note: This switch uses different size push on terminals so wire connectors must be changed, I had some extras from a car audio speaker project, worked perfect and now keeping the second switch in the trailer if needed to ever replace again, hopefully this switch lasts longer than the original which lived a very very short life span, pump works like new again! (Take switch with you to an auto parts store and get correct size terminals, I used the crimp on style and some heat shrink tubing, looks and works like it was factory made)

Was not an exact physical fit but with a slight modification to the mounting structure it does what i need it to. Was able to repair my random orbit sander and save myself the cost of a new one.So not a direct replacement but for sure close enough.

If you've verified you have power to the pump and it still won't work, this is likely the culprit. These are the perfect (and identical) replacement for the pressure switch in several 2088 pumps I own. They fit both the non bypass as well as the Revolution bypass series.I use these pumps without a pressure reservoir to supply a 1700 sq ft structure from a 2500 gal holding tank much like an RV. With the on and off cycling, the switch contacts last about 2 years which I think is pretty good in itself. A replacement pump, depending on whether it's a bypass or not ranges from $50 to over $60 and can cost over $100 if you're in a bind and need one on short order. On first pump failure a few years ago, I replaced the entire pump, for the 2nd failure I replaced the head assy ($25), which included the pressure switch. Removing the pressure switch assy from one head assy and digging into that I found this switch. The part# on the switch matched the part# found on Amazon !!Later when I went to the Revolution bypass series, same failure mode and the same switch! So now I keep several of these switches as spares and fix a pump in minutes for around $5. Perfect!
