This was a great purchase and I was able to start right away with the free program LaserGRBL for engraving projects. I like how sturdy this machine is as well as smoothness of operation. It is nice it has WiFi, but I am fine hooked up to computer through USB or loading the microSD card that comes with it and placing it in the slot in machine to choose which program (from many) to burn. Very happy so far!

Good for flat leather and wood projects with text and simple shapes. Software can be challenging to use and takes a little bit to setup the boundaries and use. It says it can cut thin pieces of wood , I have not tried this to confirm.

I ordered another namebrand while last Amazon deals in July and I couldn't get to work. This Longer one was pretty much a plug and play. Putting together was easier than the previous one and construction wise is much better.I think I found a new hobby...on time for Xmas gifts!Certainly will recommend. I might upgrade to a 10W...but if you are thinking..get a 10W while is on sale...

This is a great Laser Engraver Machine. It does what it's supposed to do. The details of the engraving are of very high quality. Lasers are very efficient and very safe. The instructions and online help are great for getting started. There are many opinions out there about what you need for your final machine setup, each with their own merits. The machine itself is well built and produces an amazing product. I'm very happy with my purchase.

It’s not a bad laser, if you’re not familiar with lasers, that can be very difficult to use. When I got mine, it was missing a couple Bolts, on the stand, so of course I had to return it, I kind of went with a different brand. You definitely need to put some type of cover over it when you’re using it.
