So, this vent is destined for my cargo trailer and will be in there by the weekend. The overall size of the outside piece is roughly 6" wide x 8" tall. The round interior vent is 4-1/8" diameter (with the flange), made to mount into a 3" diameter hole. The description says you need a minimum wall thickness of 1". That is true to use as it comes out of the box. However, if you are willing to trim the tube on the inner vent, you could easily mount into a wall down to 1/2". You would just have to do the modification. For me - my wall is nearly 2" thick (I added to the wall thickness to allow R7.5 insulation to be installed and covered with 3/8" plywood. For best ventilation, you should put one on each side, with one low and one high. Seems pretty standard that people put them roadside on the upper-left corner and on the curbside on the lower -left corner. Note, these are as you are looking at the sides, so the roadside it up high and at the FRONT of the trailer and the curbside is low and at the REAR of the trailer. Personally, I typically put them about a foot from the corners (both in vertical and horizontal distances), Seems to promote good cross-ventilation that way.I have three issues keeping this from a 5-star rating. First, they provided NO fasteners. OK, so they don't know exactly what you are mounting in, but you have to provide your own hardware. Without enlarging the holes, the inner vent has holes sized for #10 or M5 hardware. The outer frame seems slightly larger, but still only allow #10 or M5 without opening the holes up a little larger. Inner vent has three screw holes, while the outer frame has 6 screw holes.Second, my outside unit is a little warped. Itis bowed slightly convex. I am pretty sure the screws will be able to pull it flat, but there is a chance it will be slightly off the wall at the top and bottom corner of the D-shape. You need to seal with sealant anyway, and I don't anticipate having to fill a gap more than maybe 1/16", so I'm not that worried about it, as long as the sun doesn't warp it some more. Finally, it looks like a cheaper plastic vent. I will they would have put a light textured feel on the large D-shaped flat portion of the outer vent cover (and also on the flange for the inner vent, too). It would have gone a long way toward giving a more finished look.Overall, expecting this to be well worth the money. WAY cheaper than a metal vent. Just hope it holds up over time.

The vents are fine, but they did NOT come with bolts or drilling template as stated in product details. Looks like I'll be going to the hardware store for screws. 🤨

Will do its job venting my 14 ft enclosed trailer. My only complaint is the round portion was not long enough for the factory walls of my trailer, it sat just inside the opening and does not make contact with the outer portion of the vent.

Low profile design.Easy to install, item did not come with hardware and you will need a good holesaw and drill to install.I chose to install with aluminum rivits and I did put a gasket material on the flange.

No instructions on how to install this thing. After searching the internet I had an idea. Had to cut if back for it to fit through my trailer wall. I also added silicone caulk so the top would not leak. Not sure if it will work or not. But here is hoping. It's installed now, so can't return it.

plastic - will do the job. my suggestion, put a piece of foam in the cicular side before installing to keep insects from crawling into the trailer.

I have an old enclosed trailer and live on a dirt road. These air vents scoop the air and create a positive pressure inside to keep the dust out. I noticed 80% less dust than without them. Once I seal up a couple cracks I should be good to go. For the price, very satisfied.
