Yes it's absorbent but it shows stains horribly. A bit of false advertising. Stain remains even when cleaned directly after a spill.

I bought this drying rack for a camping trip. I liked that it's so small and can store easily rolled up or flat. It's pretty good at soaking up moisture (from washing up after a camp side meal). I certainly didn't want to take a regular sized dish drying rack ;). This is also good for those who do RV or van camping for keeping things from banging or clanking around and does a somewhat decent job at keeping things from skidding around. All of this from one good quality, pretty designed, compact drying pad. Likewise, I would recommend.

This Dish Drying Mat is perfect. It absorbs water from washed dishes well and provides a protective buffer between dishes and our granite countertops. After use, you can hang the mat; it will dry out in minutes. The mat is both decorative and functional. This was a great purchase. There will be no more wet dish towels to contend with. I highly recommend this product.

I was looking for something to replace my old rubber drainer mat,mhich—no matter how carefully I rinsed my dishes—always leaked soapy water all over the counter top. It would get under the microwave and leave an unpleasant slimy film and stain. This mat seems to absorb the water, and then dry quickly. No more mess and as a bonus it is a great size and looks pretty.

This mat is really cute and thicker than I thought it'd be. It's too small for what I wanted it for but that was a measurement error on my end. I've found another purpose for it and I like it a lot.
