The material is good canvas and its sturdy, however Twice I ordered and both times had to return for the same issue. The edging on the left armrest was not sewn on or the stitching totally came apart. Horrible sewing job and Terrible quality control! I will not go through this a third time! I may buy my own black chair and sew a patch with university logo on it.
