I bought this camera to match the one I currently have. It works just fine and does the job I want it to do as a second camera for my application.

This is a good camera if you want one that's portable, has a light indicator outside the lens cap, has a detachable lens cap, and has about 4 feet of wiring. It is not up to streaming quality but is very decent for virtual meetings. It's a bit of a price jump from the cheapest cameras on the market but maybe because it has a built-in mic.The mic doesn't pick up sound as well as my stand mic so if you're planning on using this as a camera and mic combo, you might have to get used to talking a little louder.There is also a convenient mount port if you don't want it on top of your monitor. If you choose to mount it on your monitor, it's a little annoying because it blocks a portion of the tabs if you're using a web browser (photo).

The Logitech C93e arrived on time, and it was easy to hook up to my Mac Studio Pro (M1) computer. The reason I decided to buy the Logitech over the twn million other webcam makers was that it was possible, with a free download from Logitech to get a video setting where the human face doesn't get washed out like yesterday's laundry (with too much bleach).The camera was easy to hook up - just plug the usb in, set up OBS, and you're good to go. However, the settings that could change a washed out image from a fifty dollar webcam, are not available because Logitech discontinued their download app (Logitech Capture) in favor of Logitech Hub which is more for gamers. Logitech doesn't intend to update their app, so the human face looks all faded out. Had I known this before, I would not have purchased this.

I bought mine used-acceptable from the amazon warehouse although it did not arrive in a logitech box I could not tell the difference between it and a new camera. I can tell it is genuine because logitech software I downloaded from the logitech website recognized it, and the firmware updated worked properly to update it to the latest version. I kind of wonder if you do better buying it used from amazon.com warehouse than "new" from one of their third party vendors

I had to purchase this during the pandemic. I was hoping to have something that I could use for some streaming, and video productions as a "B" camera to my two Canon EOS DSLR cameras. Of course, the quality is just nowhere near the Canon T6, and not even close to the Canon 5D. After twiddling with settings, I have it useable, but it just suffers in comparison to the other two cameras -- it looks generally washed out and slightly unfocused. That said, it's really MUCH easier to use that the two DSLRs which require additional hardware to use as a webcam, and even for use with OBS, the DSLRs won't feed that studio directly, but require an hdmi to usb converter and some additional issues. For these casual uses, I'm happy to have it.One more thing that might help others: when I installed the control app -- included on a mini-disk -- it threw an error when I started it. I really couldn't find much help from Logitech and what was suggested on their support site just didn't work. I found that the app requires a system .DLL, ssleay.dll and libeay.dll which are part of an Intel OpenSSL library. I found the most recent versions of these .DLLs on the OpenSSL website and fortunately, it fixed the error. I would suggest that this would be daunting for most end users, and would probably warrant a return.

La linea da cui deriva è la stessa della 910 e della 920: quest'ultima ha ricevuto critiche molto positive per i materiali, la qualità delle lenti (ottica zeiss!!!), la qualità dell'immagine, per la praticità d'uso.La 930e ha tutto il meglio della 920 e in più un audio migliorato, punto di debolezza della 920.Io la uso con Windows 8.1: riconosciuta subito e con firmware aggiornato. Non ha software per acquisire immagini: bisogna scaricare altri realizzati da terze parti (con 30 euro, Quick time pro).Utile anche Windows movie maker (gratuito) che ci consente di salvare il progetto (il file video di base o lavorato, con musiche, testi, ecc) in 1080p.Si può sempre andare nella pagina della webcam c920 e scaricare il software logitech che però, per il 930,ha delle funzioni limitate.Sui forum americani, molti si sono lamentati di questo. Ho trovato un sito che suggerisce di utilizzare l'applicazione Camera di Windows 8: una volta settata, salva i video a 1080p.Un'altra applicazione gratuita è open Broadcaster software ma non salva in full HD. Io non l'ho provata.È un vero peccato ma è pur vero che il target della webcam è strettamente quello business (Skype) e non il blogger (Youtube). Per questi ultimi, è più consigliato il 920.Ha un software, da scaricare, che invece permette la regolazione dell'immagine sia come intensità dei colori, del contrasto, della luminosità, del bilanciamento del bianco ma consente inoltre di poter centrare l'inquadratura, anche zoommando (se la Cam è troppo lontana, basta usare il setup per migliorare l'inquadratura, ecc).La qualità elevata del prodotto garantisce un livello altissimo del segnale video d'uscita. Sul mercato è difficile (gennaio 2014) trovare di meglio perché il meglio è proprio la 930e!

All the reviews I read on-line said this was the latest and greatest. As described it came in a brown Logitech box versus their standard green, white and black consumer packaging. Honestly I like the brown box. Opened it up, plugged it into a USB extension cord into a USB 3.0 port of my computer running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Windows recognized the C930 correctly, installed the necessary drivers and boom, video using Skype. I downloaded the two programs from the Logitech website - one checks the firmware (it came with the latest version) and another that I can not remember.The webcam does give you a wide view so my wife tightened it up using Skype and left the rest of the settings at default. This is in a room with mixed light (daylight and CFL on desk) and I found the colors to be fairly accurate, maybe a touch blue, Autofocus seemed to function properly, but then it is set up on the desk, I originally had it on the top edge of the monitor. Surprisingly, the mount worked well considering it was a friction fit. I can not say how time would affect the stand's ability to stay tight against the back of the monitor since my wife did not like the view which showed the bookcases on the opposite wall. So now it sits in front of the monitor on a one level stand that the monitor is on. Its is a 27" 16x9 Benq so it was a bit high and my wife likes the image better with the webcam set lower.Audio is acceptable, a bit thin but I am too lazy to break out my Sennhieser lapel mic out and go crazy with the adapters to get the XLR down to mini for plugging into the computer. Plus I need to keep it simple for my wife to use for business. Bottom line the 930e is about $30 more expensive than the C920 but is a year newer model. Is it worth the extra money? I do not know, but it does use the latest H264 video standards and other reviews seem to think so.

Ich benutze WebCams am Mac u.a. um auf meinem Youtube-Kanal "wforkel" Gitarrenaufnahmen zu posten. Leider lässt die aktuelle Generation der internen Mac iSight-Cams bezüglich Bildqualität immer noch zu wünschen übrig und full HD geht gar nicht. Deshalb habe ich mich bei Logitech umgeschaut. Bereits die C910 war deutlich besser und lief sowohl unter Windows 7 als auch Mac OSX 10.8 ohne Treiber. Ich habe dann noch die C920 und später die C930e gekauft und alle 3 verglichen.Alle 3 Cams werden vom Retina-Macbook und vom iMac unter Mountain Lion und Maverick ohne weitere Treiber sofort erkannt und man kann mit Quicktime sofort Filme in full HD aufnehmen. Am Windows-PC geht Quicktime leider nicht, man muss AVS4YOU oder etwas ähnliches nehmen, aber es geht auch hier ohne Treiberinstallation. Für Skype sind alle drei ohne Einschränkung geeignet. Die Unterschiede liegen im Detail (siehe unten). Wer Wert auf einen großen Zoombereich legt, soll die C930 wählen.Die Bildqualität ist bei allen 3 Modellen sehr ordentlich und übertrifft alles was ich bisher bei Webcams gesehen habe: Gestochen scharfe Full-HD Videos und schneller Autofocus bis in den Makrobereich. Audiomäßig sind alle drei Modelle mit 16 kHz PCM-Samplingfrequenz ziemlich eingeschränkt trotz ordentlichem Stereomikrofon. Für Musikaufnahmen sollte man sich ein externes USB-Interface mit guten Mikrofonen gönnen. Am besten ein einfaches Stereo-Interface, das wird im Gegensatz zu manchen Mehrkanal-Interfaces von Quicktime problemlos erkannt.Unterschied C910 - C920 - C930e:Bei der C920 und C930 wurde die Befestigung verbessert, sie wackelt nicht mehr so und hat auch ein Stativgewinde, was der C910 fehlt. Die Mikrofonausrichtung wurde ebenfalls verändert um den Stereoeffekt zu erhöhen. Die Linse scheint bei allen 3 Modellen gleich zu sein, die Unterschiede kommen vom Sensorchip. Die C930 hat laut Datenblatt einen Sichtwinkel (FOV) von 90 Grad, während die C920 einen FOV von 78 Grad hat. Bei der C930 muss man also etwas näher ran für gleiche Bildgröße. Die 930 hat eine weiße Frontbeleuchtung, was bei schwachem Licht nicht so auffällt wie die blaue Beleuchtung der älteren Modelle.Alle 3 Kameras unterstützen Full HD 1080p bei 30 FPS (Bilder pro Sekunde) mit H.264 bei ca. 25 Mbit/s Datenrate. Apple Pro Resolution ist auch möglich bei ca. 200 – 400 Mbit/s und Motion JPEG bei ca. 1Gbit/s.Laut Anzeige der Logitech WebCam App haben die C920 und C930 den gleichen Sensorchip, ich vermute es handelt sich um einen 3,7 Megapixel Chip mit (2304 x 1596, 3:2). Allerdings ist es mir nur gelungen, Videoaufnahmen mit Full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080, 16:9) zu machen, d.h. die Kameras nutzen nur einen Teil der Sensorfläche aus. Die Bildqualität unterscheidet sich nicht wesentlich, die C930 schärft nur stärker.Die C910 funktioniert hingegen auch mit voller nativer Auflösung noch mit 10 FPS. Die C910 hat laut Datenblatt einen 5 MP chip (2592 x 1944, 4:3 sodass das älteste Modell auch die höchste Auflösung bietet. Außerdem liefert sie nach meiner Erfahrung bei schwachem Licht das beste Bild, während die C930 bei Tageslicht am besten wirkt.Hier noch ein paar Software-Tipps für den Mac:Zum Aufnehmen von Filmen mit der Webcam am Mac eignet sich neben Quicktime z.B. die App RecordMe, welche eine größere Auswahl an Formaten bietet. Unter Windows habe ich die Kameras mit AVS4YOU und VLC ausprobiert.Leider habe ich für den Mac keine App gefunden, die alle verschiedenen Aufnahmemodi ermöglicht. Quicktime X arbeitet entweder mit H.264 oder Apple Pro Res, Quicktime 7 und die App Record Me mit H.264 oder Motion JPEG. VLC bietet u.a. MPEG TS.Logitech bietet zwar ziemlich versteckt eine Kamera-Software für Mac an, aber die ist genauso schlecht wie die Windows-Software. Also: Die Logitech-Software auf beiden Betriebssystemen gar nicht erst installieren!!!Etwas besser ist da schon die kostenlose Webcam-App von Logitech im Appstore mit der man die wichtigsten Einstellungen verändern kann. Die Zoomfunktion funktioniert allerdings nur mit der C930 und die App kann nicht mehrere Cams verwalten.Deutlich mehr kann die App namens "WebCam Settings" aus dem Appstore. Damit kann man unter OSX alle Einstellungen wie Blende, Focus, Zoom, Farbsättigung, Weißabgleich etc. komplett manuell einstellen und abspeichern (funktioniert auch mit mehreren WebCams). Diese kann auch schärfen.Die kostenpflichtige App "iGlasses" hat zusätzlich noch komische Effekte eingebaut, kann aber nur 720p. Dafür aber wird sie auch von Final Cut Pro X erkannt, so dass man nun direkt von der Webcam in FCPX importieren kann. Das ging bisher nur mit der eingebauten iSight Kamera.Mit mehreren Cams kann man Videos herstellen mit verschiedenen Blickwinkeln. Ich habe drei Webcams (2x C920 und 1x C910) mit dem Mac verbunden und jeweils eine Quicktime-Aufnahme gestartet (jede in einer eigenen Instanz). Alle 3 Cams wurden ohne Probleme gleichzeitig aufgenommen, allerdings ging maximal 720p, darüber wird der Datendurchsatz zu groß. Selbst USB3 ports unterstützen maximal 480 Mb/s bei Cams mit USB2 Schnittstelle. Auch ein Hub hilft da nicht weiter, höchstens ein zweiter USB-Chip im Rechner.
