Love the simplicity of the software… but would be great if it included three way cables. This analyzer can’t issue commands it only listens in, and I had to solder wires to connect the host + device + analyzer.

This product, with the latest software (Logic 2), does not work with M1 Mac computers. To get the hardware to work at all, you need download and older (and less capable) version 1 of the software. Worst part is that their own blog says..."Unfortunately, we don't have a timeline yet to share as to when we can get official support added to Logic 2. The best solution at the moment is to download use the older Logic 1.2.29 software for the time being if you are running on Apple M1 hardware... since we're currently laser focused on other high priority features and stability fixes."As a brand new customer with a computer that's been for sale for over 8 months, I am very disappointed. So don't be sucked in as I was with all the sweet features shown on their website.

I bought this after finding my cheap clone increasingly frustrating. The Saleae is excellent and I really can't fault it. In particular capturing pre-trigger data is easy. Every aspect of it from the carrying case to the probes, the LA itself and the software is well designed and effective. The software in particular is a triumph, easy to use and incredibly versatile with its multi-protocol support.

If you need a logic analyser that is easy to use and does everything it is design to really well then the Saleae products are first class. Connect, analyse, done ! their customer support / tech support is first class too - real answers any time of day by real people.

Excellent product; expensive, but you get what you pay for. Well supported and easy to use. Anyone in the market for a high quality logic analyzer; this is a must buy!!Definitely 5 stars all the way!

My initial impression of my Logic 8 is that it's a miracle I've ever been able to get anything done without it. If you have any doubts:-Download the software and play with it in demo mode... it is super intuitive and highly capable.-Head to the Salleae website and read about the warranty on this thing... They'll fix or replace it for three years no matter what the cause of the problem.Honestly, this thing is worth every single penny. VERY happy with it!

I'm just getting started exploring everything you can do. The software is really nice (which is saying something since it appears to be written in QT). It runs nicely on my mac and mostly seems to make sense. The software for the other analyzers I've used is garbage, so I really appreciate this.I've been playing with their API and the real-time beta. For kicks (and because it's super useful) I downloaded their Async Serial Analyzer source and hacked in a UDP server. I have that banging out serial data to a second app that I wrote to consume it all. I'll never use nanokdp or fight with FTDI drivers again!

I used to interpret it bit by bit before.I am now using it as a product.Small and easy. No external power is required.But it is too hot for a long time.

Opening the box and seeing the case it comes in, you know you're in for a treat. Everything included is of excellent quality and built for the long run. I setup a simple micro controller, pi3, python script that would send serial info to my computer. I then tapped into the Tx, Rx, and common lines. A few minutes later, getting used to the software, I was intercepting and correctly converting the serial feed into human readable text. This thing is so cool, I think I'm going to take it to a coffee shop and bask in the knowledge of the wizard tool I now posses.
