The cover is made from a heavy tarp/plastic material. Straps are on solid. I actually got as a cover for my horse cart. Unfortunately, it is not quite long enough, but for those that are using it to cover their log splitters this is quality.

I bought this for my 27 ton Craftsman log splitter. It covers the entire thing even the tongue with a little bit of room left over tires and everything this is a good fit and a good price I'm satisfied

I opened the package and pulled the cover out and promptly put it to use over my log splitter that was in the middle of being used. I was done with it for the night.There were no instructions detailing what all of the various straps were used for. Some of the straps are designed to spread the tarp out over the splitter using the steaks that go into the ground. Forget about those if you live in rocky terrain like I do.There is plenty of material to cover a medium-to-large-sized splitter. That was welcome. I have a 27 ton splitter that I consider large and long and this cover has plenty of material, with some left over to cover it.I eventually figured out how to secure the tarp around the splitter and snug it sufficiently where it would stay in place with light to moderate winds. Again I could not use the stakes that came with the set to pound into the ground based on my terrain. That was no worry for me; I got the cover secured securely enough that I wasn’t worried about anything except incredibly strong winds.The splitter cover is a little bit thin, but well constructed and seems like it will last for a number of seasons.At one point, I transported the splitter to another remote location and did not need to cover as it was being stored inside of a Connex. You can just about forget about trying to get the cover folded back up so that it fits in the supplied storage bag. It’s worse than folding a fitted sheet.I would assume that the storage bag is for long-term use rather than day-to-day use. With some effort, I managed to fold it up and get it put away. It fits very snuggly in the storage bag. Be careful with the zipper that closes the storage bag. That’s one piece that is not well constructed. Flattening and pushing and flattening some more will get the cover in the bag and allow you to zip the storage bag up safely without ripping the zipper. Just be careful.
