I had my eyese on this square grill topper for a long time, and was excited when I finally purchased it. However, after just ONE use, ONE use the topper literally snapped and cracked. I followed their instructions as far as washing with soft soap and it was not stored in a cold area, but I made sure it was not cold to use. I had high hopes for this pan as I roast a lot of chilies, but I had to return it. I was not expecting this to happen, especially with the Lodge brand, of which I have many.

My grill top is getting old so this is a very nice alternative to having to buy a new grill. I cook almost exclusively with cast iron so I was very happy to find this. Works great. You just have to remember it’s cast iron and treat it accordingly. Keep it seasoned and it should last for years.

Forgot I had this for a while. First time I used it, I was grilling some poblano peppers on my gas stovetop and I heard a loud pop as this warped from the heat and cracked itself in the middle. I've never, ever had a lodge product fail so I was shocked.

The manufacturer says they do not warranty products purchased from Amazon! Would probably buy again, but would purchase directly from Lodge so I had a warranty.
