Loctite sf 7088 is a reactive Monomer based "solvent free" surface primer that is supplied as a wax-like semi-solid, conveniently packaged in a self-feeding stick applicator. Loctite sf 7088 was designed to promote the cure speed of Loctite anaerobic products. It is especially recommended for applications with Passive metals or inert surfaces and with large bond gaps.

Bought a high end EDC that the pivot kept coming loose on. I tried loctite 248 several times and the pivot just kept coming loose the last time l let it sit for 4days still didn't sit up!! Long story short used this primer /activator the first time I wasn't sure so I put a little more than I normally do and then I started thinking I might not be able to get the pivot loose. So 10 minutes after applying it I go to loosen the pivot and it was tight. Took it apart. Cleaned with alcohol reapplied a lot. Smaller amount and has worked like a charm!! If you're having a titanium pivot come loose or any titanium bolt, this stuff is a must!!

Loctite use instructions are unusual:Apply sufficient primer to fill the threads on one side of the bolt where the nut will be engaged.Apply Loctite threadlocker to the opposite side of the bolt.Assemble and tighten as required. Threading the nut will mix anaerobic and primer in the threads.

I never realized anaerobic threadlockers required a primer on certain metals. This stuff definitely makes sure the threadlocker cures--my only "complaint" is the working time drops to about 10 seconds with the primer (but the alternative is it never cures, or cures over weeks).
