I had my doubts, but after 2 years the tab has not fallen off, and the window that it's on is hinged, soit gets swung open and closed during use. Still attached....

Expensive, but if you drive in winter conditions without defrosting your windows, well you are a danger on the roads. Just my opinion as a professional driver.

I tried this kit twice....twice failed. Looks easy, installs easy but just doesn't bond well ... even after sanding and wiping surfaces with alcohol. Flattened tab and sanded it too...no success. I went for the $50 two part 80% silver epoxy that works well. I also read where a soldering iron can do the trick too, but will wait for the epoxy to fail before I try that one.

Unsure what the negative reviews had happen with theirs, but I followed the instructions to the letter when attaching it and my defroster tab is once again secured to the window. I waited 2 days before rewatching the wire to it however, as I was in no rush. Nice to have it working again to take the morning fog off the window, and will be really nice this winter!

Reattached wire after the kids pulled it off with this. Our defroster works again. Bonus used blue tape to form a line and used to bridge the gap left by scratch on defrost lines worked like a charm. Still working after 2 seasons.

Purchased on advice of my window repair man. Followed directions closely and allowing drying time. Would not cure/tack and solidify to adhere to rear window.

Needed both rear window defroster tabs put back in place. First used PermaTex. Even after following directions to knead, it was runny and had to be taped into place for 24 hrs to set. It did set up, seems to be holding fine. Not being pleased with the Permatex product, decided to try LocTite which I had to order. Again followed directions, kneading it until correct consistency. Much thicker and applied well. But again it did not adhere within 5 mins as stated on pkg. So it was also taped for 24 hours. It set up a bit faster. Both tabs appear to be staying in place, haven't had to use defroster as yet. Either product will re-set defroster tabs but take your time, expect to tape them into place for at least 24 hours. It will save an expensive trip to mechanic.

My rear defrost stopped working. Took it to a shop and the mechanic said gotta replace the rear window. I found this and figured worth a try. Easy to apply and my rear defrost works like new.

Cannot really comment, arrived ok but with a customs charge on top. Didn't get it to stick and then sold the vehicle.

I do a lot of board level electrical repair, but I wasn't familiar with the construction of the rear defrost system. I bought this adhesive thinking I'd save time. Wrong. After following the instructions to the letter, I turned on my defrost (after 48 hrs to cure). Nothing. My ohmmeter told me the truth...I had a faulty repair. So, after research, I decided to get some silver solder and repair it myself with my soldering gun. Well, this crappy glue was gooey and impossible to remove which made it impossible to repair AT ALL. So, $15 later, I am screwed! Now I can't even repair it the right way! DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS STUFF...JUST GET A SOLDERING GUN AND SOME SILVER SOLDER AND DO IT RIGHT!!!
