Mostly used on small engines. Last used to secure a somewhat loose crank gear.

genuine product. Not a knockoff. Worked great as a thread locker on my sons Traxxas RC truck

I used Loctite 263 to mount a damaged idler pully to an aluminum engine block. Issue fixed, and mounting bolt is holding tight.

I am using this not as a thread lock but to help secure the timing sprocket on a diesel VW. If the sprocket is the tiniest bit lose it eventually breaks the key. This compound makes sure that there is no slop at all.

Loctite cures anaerobically, meaning that it cures when not exposed to air. So there has to be air in the bottle to keep it from curing. I guarantee that none of the people complaining about there not being 50ml have actually measured it.

It’s tough to find this stuff in any local auto parts store. I had a mechanic friend at John Deere recommend it to me. The application is so much better than with typical silicones in their aluminum “toothpaste” type tubes. And with over 10,000 mikes in the rebuild, there are no leaks anywhere. It’s all dry underneath 👍

Does what it's supposed to do. We were having issues using the original RED formula on anodized aluminum (inactive metal), and realized that we needed to use the primer product or this 263 formula with the primer in-solution. We opted for the 263, and it works great! no issues with about 50 applications so far.
