It's installed and looks good, however the ad says it's weight limit is 260 lbs, whereas the instructions only say 220 lbs. They do seem relatively weak as well. I'm seeking a solution now

Got them on prime day for $83. To me thats a steal. They were really easy to install took me about 30 minutes by myself. They feel good quality and make the highlander look better. I installed them on my 2023 highlander xse. Cant wait to fully test them out on our next road trip. As for now im a happy buyer

It came in a secure box with all the parts, tools and assembly instructions. Easy to assemble and install. I'm 72 years old and did it by myself. Took a little more than an hour. Highly recommend but be sure you select the correct year and model with the appropriate roof attachment set up.

These cross bars were cheaper than many others in value. They arrived quickly from Amazon and appeared in very good condition. They were extremely easy to install on my 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum w/ large moon roof. I had noted one comment that it blocked their sun roof from opening. I installed the front bar and tested the moon roof. It opened with a mm of clearance. I installed the back bar and moved on with my night. While driving the car, I noticed plenty of clearance between the moon roof and the crossbars when opened.I am in the process of finding a roof carrier to go on these now. I will update this review if I run into any problems there. Overall, forgot that the. Crossbars are even on the roof.

I ordered this just last night and it arrived today. I installed it in about 30 minutes or so. Little allen wrench for small screws and large Allen wrench for large screws. The only thing that could have made the instructions clearer would have been a step to say “mount the brackets (with the large screws) and then tighten the smaller screws from underneath”. It simply says, “tighten from underneath after measuring”. I recommend when re-inserting the small screws, tightening them to the point where the bracket bars barely slide using your hands. That makes for less turns to tighten the small screws once the brackets are in place. For the large screws, tighten as much as you can with the long side first and then go short side. For some reason the large allen wrench did not fit the screws very well, but it worked well enough. At 6’2” I was able to do the install without a ladder, but a ladder might be useful for those shorter than that.

Purchased for my 22 XLE. These are sturdy and easy to install - all metal accept the plastic locking cover. I installed by myself in about 30 minutes. The instructions were clear and parts were clearly marked. Low profile too. Cannot beat the price - I will see how they hold up over time.

first off, the one low review saying cheap hardware must have received a different product.the good: All of the structural elements are aluminum and of the appropriate thickness. the fasteners are high quality stainless steel. the aluminum cross bar is thicker where the fasteners thread in. everything fits, everything works. overall design is really pretty good.the not great: the plastic cover, which is basically a fairing for looks & aerodynamics, ie non structural, is pretty cheesy and fits just ok. the lock is a joke; it’s basically just to hold the plastic fairing in place. no one is going to steal my racks and if they are this lock won’t stop them.overall great value. i have zero concerns about this coming loose. definitely 5/5 for the price, maybe 4.5 due to the plastic covers.suggestion: you might want to add a corrosion inhibitor to the fasteners. stainless into aluminum is no bueno long term; you will get galvanic corrosion. i used Tefgel; you could use teflon tape.
