Easy to use. Helpful for finding coolant leaks.

Overall, the unit worked and feels well made. One of the adapter radiator caps fit, sealed well and held pressure sufficient for testing purposes on a 2011 Kia Optima. The #2 cap/valve indicated for Kias did not fit. But the #1 cap, indicated for other vehicles, did. There's a lot of stuff in this kit, and it's impressive. The manual is crap. But I had a problem: how to release the pressure created by the pump and cap? This was not addressed in the instructions, and could well be on me, a clueless yokel. But I'll be dipped if I could figure out how to release the newly pressurized radiator without spraying coolant like a Super Soaker. In absence of guidance, I was left with guesses.I didn't just uncouple the cap/air tube connection because there's an unrestricted airway through the cap to the tube, and I figured if I popped the connection and there was any coolant blowback, I'd get a geyser.Similarly, I wasn't too crazy about simply unscrewing the adapter cap. If the pressure induced by this gizmo was anything like the pressure generated by a not engine, unscrewing the cap could get messy and exciting. So I decided to press the inviting Silver Button that looked just like like an air bleed valve -- and is, in fact, a workable air bleed valve on similar units.Surprise! Pressing the silver button released a pressurized spray of coolant that fanned out and painted the back of the engine bay. So, resigned to being screwed, I wrapped rags around the button, held a can under it, and continued until enough coolant drained off to lower the pressure. There's got to be a better way.Maybe cranking off the cap is the way to go, after all.I'd love to hear the secret, if there is one and anyone knows it. I'll be happy to give this review another star if I do. Coherent, idiot-proof instructions for the yokel would be really nice.

The various adapters are good quality. They have several specialty ones not included with other kits (such as the 7th gen Celica adapter). The pressure tester worked perfectly. The vacuum filling system, not so much. Honestly, it was horrible. Multiple leaks in the unit. I finally gave up and bled the system the old fashioned way. But for the specific adapter and pressure tester I needed, it was worth the cost.UPDATE: Upon reading my review, the seller quickly reached out to me to address my experience. I explained the issues with the vacuum filler component of the kit. Once they knew the problem, they made it right quickly. They factory tested a new vacuum filler device and shipped it to me ASAP. It arrived yesterday direct from the seller. Well packed and tested. Ready to use. I've updated my review to take into account the great customer support and the obvious interest in making a great customer experience. I would certainly purchase from them again.

I am still kind of on the fence with this kit. I used the largest of the metal tester caps and it leaked. I loaded the neck of the coolant bottle with o-rings for a better seal- still leaked. I tried to stack rubber washers between the oring, neck of the bottle and the tester cap - still leaked. I was about to pack it in when I tried one more time to load the bottom of the coolant bottle neck with orings, I took the rubber seal off the bottom of the tester cap and laid it in the neck, and then put the cap on. This time it somehow held pressure and I was able to test my system. I was disgusted to find the pressure drop which led me to believe the darn cap was leaking again but I realized it would drop down and then hold steady meaning I had a leak! I found two leaky hoses which I corrected and the pressure held. MUCH faster building up pressure than my old tester that is just a one hand plastic pump with a lever. I have not tested the other caps or features of this kit yet but I plan to do so in the future and will update this review as needed - I did not return this item and plan to keep it at this point.
