Ich rate also vom Gebrauch ab.

I know that looks shouldn't really matter for things like chargers, but I am still a sucker for form along with function. I have the original, single battery charger that came with my camera, as well as an aftermarket unit I had purchased that could charge two batteries at once. This unit is definitely a step up in quality as far as how it looks and the external build. It has four LED reference marks for each battery that is charging (my OEM only had a single LED, flashing when charging, solid when charged). The outer case is metal, and between this and the LED display, the unit has a premium look and feel to it (including a rubber bottom to it to help keep it from sliding from where you place it). The batteries fit flush with the top of the unit when fully inserted, and all in all it makes for a sleek looking piece of kit.Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do any photography since getting the unit and all my batteries were basically about fully charged with the exception of one. That one was about 25-50% full according to my camera. When I inserted it into this charger, it showed 25% charged and was decently fast to charge (I would say faster than the OEM, but I wasn't able to time exactly how long it took). I will update my review once I have had a chance to charge some more batteries and do a side-by-side of the OEM, but if you are looking for a new charger and want something that doesn't look like the typical cheap piece of plastic then you might want to give this one a try.

I started using this dual charger with my Nikon D850 DSLR camera system. It charges two EN-EL 15C batteries and I appreciate how solid it feels right out of the box. The aluminum body looks sturdy and holds up well when I transport it with the rest of my equipment in my camera roller bag. It charges my batteries faster than any of the older chargers I have used, and the dual-slot design helps me stay ready during long shoots. The LED indicators are clear and easy to read, so I always know when a battery is good to go.The safety features give me peace of mind, especially when I leave it plugged in during busy days. It manages overheating, overcharging, and sudden surges protecting the charger and the batteries from harm or failure. It dissipates heat well and keeps everything running smoothly without overheating. I also like that it works with different power sources, whether I am at home, in the car, or using a power bank. It fits right into my daily workflow and helps me stay focused on our shooting schedule instead of waiting around for batteries to complete their charge. Thanks AMAZON!Mark in North Carolina

This dual charger is great! One of the things that I always didn't like about charging my camera's batteries was that it would take a long time to charge all of the batteries. This solves that issue (somewhat). While I wouldn't necessarily say that it is a "fast charger" (I think it takes about the same amount of time as the stock charger), having the ability to cut total charging time in half by doing two at once is a game changer. I also love the fact that it shows the battery level as well as soon as you put it in and while it is charging instead of just a simple flashing or solid light. It definitely feels pretty durable and the fact that it uses USB-C is great too. Not that I minded plugging my original one into a wall too much, but for a dual charger like this one it is nice to just use my phone or laptop cord that I already have with me. Overall, I would definitely recommend this one or the three-in-one charger that they also make as if it lives up to this one, I'm sure it would be an excellent fit for someone that needs that extra battery.

Got this based on the review ratings. Charged two brand new OEM Nikon EN-EL15C battery. Fast charging but ran very hot.

I have several chargers for my Nikon EN-EL15x batteries. There's the big one that comes from Nikon, and a variety of ones I got with various batteries I've bought. The Nikon one is huge, charges one battery, and is generally a pain to use. The other aftermarket ones feel like the cheap junk they probably are. This charger, however, feels really solid in your hand, and it works BEAUTIFULLY. I have about 8 or 10 EN-EL15 family batteries for my D600, D780, and D810 cameras. You just drop a battery into this charger and in a couple of seconds it displays the state of charge and begins charging. It charges 2 batteries simultaneously, and, best of all, it just plugs into any USB-C charger. I have it plugged into a 1 port Anker charger and it's been working great. One of the biggest challenges I've had in the past was when I only had one or two batteries with me on a trip and realized I hadn't charged them. All my chargers required 110V mains power. Now, I can toss this charger into my camera backpack and I can charge in a car, plane, boat, wherever. Bravo!

Bought this after returning other less expensive USB chargers. Others promise ridiculous charge speeds that are unattainable. This one will charge two depleted batteries in about 3 hours. I tested new “C” version batteries, as well as “A” and original EN-EL15 batteries and all charged without issue.
