I have tried quite a few different water bottles, and this is one of my favorites to use with my mice. It holds enough water that my 4 girls won't run out if I needed to be away for a couple days- but I always keep at least two water bottles as well as a dish for them as well, just to be safe. They always drink from this one the most, even though it is hanging from the top of the cage and they sit up to reach it. I have never noticed any leaking from this at all- However, I have had it clog or get stuck somehow once- my girls kept licking it but no water was coming out. I had to firmly press the ball and manually spin it in several directions before it started flowing again, but that hasn't happened since that one time.I still give this bottle 5 stars because clogging is a possibility for all water bottles and I can't fault this for that happening once in the 6 months I have had it. It is also the only water bottle that I can easily use with an aquarium or bin cage, being able to bend the top wire is great for adjusting the height and angle as needed. I just ordered several more of these for my other tanks, and again I am pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive these are.I strongly suggest for anyone with a small pet to provide several sources of water they can easily access, and in different parts of the cage if you have more than one pet to avoid the possibility of one being bullied away from being able to drink.

The lids on Kritter Keepers have a circular disc that you can pop out. This lixit bottle fits that hole and the rubber o-ring holds it in place. This is a great option if you use this style of cage / carrier for transport or for housing male mice individually.

Hard to get this one to stop leaking, but I do like the O ring it comes with for stability. If you can get it to stabilize.
