Double Dip - Hand Dyed Falkland Wool

Step into a colorful world inspired by the natural beauty around us! This fiber is hand dyed to perfection featuring intense color combinations that can only be achieved by double dipping and skillful hand painting.

Why we love Double Dip:

Woman hanging up hand-dyed Double Dip to dry

This fiber got rhythm!

We have designed our colorways to have repeating color sequences; this roving makes it easy to spin some fabulously colorful yarn that shifts from color to color.

Drop spindle yarn using Double Dip

Easy spinning

Try the fractal spinning method to make barber pole yarn or just let your intuition guide you. The color combinations will work with a single colorway or when you combine them; either way, your friends will admire your good eye for color.

Happy sheep make happy yarn

Falkland wool - kind to sheep

Due to the harsh climate on the Falkland islands, insects and disease normally associated with sheep are not a problem. Therefore, the sheep are never dipped and never go through mulesing, making the wool chemical free.

Happy sheep in the field

What is Falkland wool?

All wool from the Falkland Islands is raised in a cooperative manner and gathered into one large wool pool from a number of different sheep breeds like Corriedale, Polwarth and Merino. Famous for its pure white color and lofty texture, it is so soft, it can be worn directly on bare skin.

For lovers of color: If you can't get enough color, we've got you covered! Check out the multi-packs we offer so you can mix, match and play around with different colors and textures.
