The MEGA SYNTHESIS has resurrected the sound engine of the iconic YM2612 sound chip. We've faithfully recreated the 4-operator FM sound module, the 8-bit PCM sound module, and the SN76489 PSG (Programmable Sound Generator) sound module used by the original console.
- Legacy Mode to faithfully replicate the sound of the era. This feature simulates the characteristically grungy sounding quirks of the YM2612 sound and can be turned on/off for each track.

Straightforward 6-track layout comprising 3 FM synthesis tracks, 2 PSG synthesis tracks, and 1 PCM sample track.

- 27 keys with ±3 octaves switching for easy melody input
10 types of effects can be applied
Furthermore, you can apply an effect selected from 10 types, such as adding reverberation, repeating phrases, and more. The amount of effect can be adjusted for each track.

The Sonicware range I think are a little marmite, but this is my theirs and I love them. This one emulates the sound chips from a Megadrive/Genesis - and if you have that kind of nostalgia and some time to explore? This is a bargain

DTM（テキスト音楽サクラ）からMIDIでつないで音源モジュールとして使いたかったのですが、打ち込んだ曲を再生してから停止すると音が鳴りっぱなしで止まらない、発音のタイミングがズレるという問題頻発。サポートに問い合わせると「テキスト音楽サクラではノートが鳴っている途中に停止した場合、ノートオフは出さずにオールノートオフを出す仕様のようです。MEGA SYNTHESISはオールノートオフに対応していないため鳴りっぱなしになります。」とのこと。音源はメガドライブっぽいかんじやサイバートランス系で使えそうな感じでめちゃくちゃ好みなだったのですけどね。。自分の環境では使えませんでした。あと解説本もついてないし、アダプターすらも付属していません。単3電池を6個用意するか、別途アダプタの購入が必要になりますのでご注意を。

This is a fantastic synthesizer, my first combined sequences synthesizer etc... I found it really easy to learn, and have had a great fun creating some nice patterns. So much so that I've got a bit addicted and looking at a few more Liven products.No problem with delivery, and it was international.Would recommend to anybody interested in FM style 90s Sega genesis music, it's worth the purchase.
