Magnetic drive pumps are designed to operate continuously with minimal energy consumption. The PES Series pumps offer a corrosion-resistant body designed for submersible use only. They are easy to install and maintain. All PES Series pumps have a built-in adjustable flow control valve which can easily lower the flow of the pump to customize the look of your fountain.
The Little Giant PES-40-PW uses just 0.03 Amps/2.5 Watts of power. It comes with 1/2" and 3/8" barbed adapters and can circulate up to 45 GPH at 1-ft. lift. It has a shut-off height of 2.1-ft. and can pump up to 16.8-inches high with an acceptable flow rate. This pump is ideal for small tabletop fountains.

We needed a small pump for a small fountain. Old pump parts kept slipping of and petering out. This new pump has delivered consistent flow with a steady and nice trickle sound. Easily adjustable. Easy to put together.

I prefer Little Giant pumps for my outdoor birdbaths. They usually last several years. This one is solid, the power cord is heavy duty with 3-prong plug for safety. My only complaint is the adjustment dial is tricky to turn, unlike on their older pumps which were easy to grab and turn.

I obtained a desk fountain with a broken pump. I bought this to replace it, and it provides the exact pressure to restore the small fountain. I like that when the water gets low, it still circulates the water, but it makes a telltale clicking sound to remind you to refill the fountain. This prevents it from running dry.

The pump was abit big for my smaller fountain. I had to make my own outlet adapter to fit on the inlet of my hose.

Perfect little pump for a small fountain. Size fits the space. TDH is correct for my fountain. These little pumps just do not last very long.

The unit works very well in my bird bath. I did need to use rocks to hold it in place as the suction cups were undersized for the power of the pump and the weight of the cable running over the side of the bird bath. It will probably work better on my fountain after I make the power cable changes and add a extension cord.

We've owned many small pumps for our yard fountain for ten years. With birds and small animals using the fountain, the pumps don't last long. We need a pump that produces a 2'-3' 40 GPH flow. The price of these small pumps seem to increase drastically at this range. This Little Giant is very inexpensive. It produces more flow than others at this price. The suction cups that adhere the pump to the bottom of the water well actually work. Additionally, the flow control is easy to find and works by turning a knob, not sliding a small tab. If we had a complaint it would be to mention the coupler provided. We received one that was 1/2" to 1/2" OD. We needed 3/8" OD and had to find a spare piece of tubing to make the couple. Hard to understand why they would provide a couple that does nothing, A 1/2" OD tube fits on the pump directly. Not much of a complaint, the cost and operation still deserves a 5 star rating.

The Little Giant PES-80-PW 77 GPH Statuary Fountain Pump is absolutely without fault! You simply put it in the water, attached a hose, plugged it in and it workes like a charm. The old pump (same model) that replaces this one lasted over five years with little care We even left it on during the cold mountain of Virginia winters (we also installed a water heater for below freezing temps). We seldom had to clean it and it ran forever it seems, year 'round. When our first one finally pooped out, we bought another one and haave just put it to work in our bird bath. They are the best bargain for the money of just about anything we own! You cannot go wrong with this Little Giant water pump!
