This switch should only be used to signal an alarm. It should not be used to run pump amperage through it. I used mine for a high water alarm.

Replaced a worn out septic alarm float with this one. This is a two wire style type alarm (I believe there are 3 wire styles also, but this one has two wires.) It comes with a large worm gear type hose clamp, which I did not need to use. I tested this float by hooking it up directly to the alarm on the side of my house before I opened up the septic tank and replaced it. Just to make sure the float was the issue and that this style is the correct one. Seems to be built well and hopefully get a lot of years out of it.
