LITTER CHAMP CAT LITTER DISPOSAL SYSTEM

This is BY FAR the best litter collection system. With the Litter Champ you can use the foot pedal to dispose of the litter clumps and poo and the smell is fully sealed inside. It's a much sturdier system than the competitors as well as being better looking and it has a foot pedal!! I've been using the Litter Champ for at least 15 years now and it works incredibly well. It's a *must have* as an accompaniment to your litter box. This allows me to clean the litter every day but only take the bag out from the Litter Champ to the trash every week or even every two weeks and I don't have to deal with the smell in the meantime. Highly recommend!!

I used to flush cat waste down the toilet but after finding out how dangerous this was I really wanted to change to a more eco friendly option. We live in a flat above a shop so popping outside to the bin isn’t super easy or quick. This product has been a lifesaver. I’m able to freshen up the litter tray by removing clumps and waste rather than having to change the whole tray as often. There is no smell and I can leave the bin for a couple of weeks before I need to change it - we have two cats btw!Of course when the bin is opened to be changed there is a smell but that is to be expected.Extremely user friendly, would never go back to life without it!!

UPDATE 1/16/22: For those who have asked about Diaper Dekor (not Decor) refill size, the Classic ones fit perfect AND they hake a biodegradable option! Just search for Diaper Dekor Classic Biodegradable and you'll find them easily enough! That's what I use for refills, and have had the Litter Champ for 2 years now. With my usage (no cats or litter or diapers - just wipes, feminine products, and other potentially stinky things that should never be flushed) a 2 pack of refills lasts around a year, with 3 adult females, 2 whom have monthly cycles - in our household. They also use reusable cups 90% of the time, so that cuts down on how fast it fills up. However, these refills, biodegradable or not (my first refill was plastic) do start to leak odor after a while. Not horribly, but enough! When that happens, if it's not full yet, we just tie off a smaller section to dispose and pull down the difference after tying a new knot! :)I purchased this at the beginning of the pandemic, when I realized getting toilet paper was going to be impossible, and had to improvise with other items. We live in a 70+ year old house, with original plumbing, and it clogs easily! I had had a recent clog and basement flood caused by new bamboo TP (just one brand did that - other bamboo TP is fine!) that didn't break down at all. We're trying to live cleaner & greener, hence the bamboo stuff. Well, I happened to have a LOT of that brand on hand, but knew I couldn't flush it! I also figured if things got bad enough, we could cut up old tee shirts or sheets and use those as TP, toss 'em in the Litter Champ, and wash and disinfect when full. Genius, right? But I didn't want to deal with any smells or have to handle gross things, so... I accidentally stumbled upon this whilst searching "diaper pail", and it seems to be so similar to a popular diaper disposal system, but at a cheaper price. I got it "Used: Like New" for under $12. How could I go wrong? Since I received it, it's been used a lot by my household. I have a dog who has accidents, and the dirty paper towels go in it. She also uses puppy pads sometimes, and those go in as well. But mostly, I toss in my beloved beige bamboo TP that I can't flush unless I am ready to splurge on a $600 plumber bill! I also like to use wipes sometimes (especially Dude wipes), and those go in as well. So, for my use of the Litter Champ, it is perfect. Nothing nasty has ever touched anything aside from the biodegradable liner bags, so it remains clean 2+ months post purchase. The liners are simple to cut and tie off, and there are several refill varieties to choose from. Sometimes you gotta think outside the box, especially during trying times, and this was/is a perfect example of that. If you don't want to spend upwards of $40 on a fancy diaper pail or litter system, try this! It worked for me and was worth every penny. Also, don't be scared to buy used, renewed or refurbished items from Amazon! Everything in "Very Good" or better condition has come to me in brand new looking & smelling condition with no wear, defects or imperfections. Save money. Save the planet!FYI: The TP that doesn't break down (in case you were wondering) was unbleached Silk N' Soft. It does break down eventually, but I tested in a jar of cool water shaken up several times throughout a 3 day period, and it only started to separate at the perforation lines. It is a nice TP though! Saves trees, no bleach, 3 ply, use less, no lint, nice texture, no pilling or "butt crumble", etc. It's primo butt wipe, but wasn't compatible with my home's plumbing. I rave over the stuff, but urge caution when flushing it down pipes that are 3 inches or less. *cringe*
