I used one of these to repair a dresser drawer that is 40-50 years old. I could not find an exact match, so I ordered these. With the quantity of guides, I figured I could modify it to work. The guides are of heavy nylon (?) and should hold up for many years. The first modification broke immediately. I needed the “slot” to be deeper. I opened the slot on the ear side. This made it weak. On the second try, I opened at the top of the slot. This worked perfectly and I have 8 more guides should one of the other drawers need attention.

We got a used cabinet that just needed a little TLC. One of the drawers had a broken drawer guide and wouldn’t open or close correctly. These drawer guides are an exact replacement for the original one that was broken, and now the drawer works perfectly.

I repaired a drawer in a chest we bought 46 years ago. I took a chance and guessed and hoped it would fit. It fit with a very simple modification I had to make to the drawer. I am not a carpenter and the modification had to be simple and it was. The drawer hopefully last 46 more years.Woo-Hoo.
