I have not installed this yet so I cannot rate the performance, but the construction is nice and solid. The main body is made of a nice steel that has been powder coated with care. All the components inside look good and the wiring looks neat and tidy. More after install.

super bright, lights up a 750 sq ft room, very functional, great quality, super easy to install, great value for the money, and perfect size. Exit sign fits right underneath the lights.

Excellent quality emergency backup light. Works well for my needs. Got it to provide light in the garage when the power goes out, and now I can setup my generator without grabbing a flashlight at night. Overall this is exactly as described, and performs as expected.

This is a high-quality emergency light that should perform its purpose without any problems. It's designed to be installed and wired directly into your home or business electrical system without using a standard wall socket. It's very easy to setup and wire with some small caveats. The battery that supplies power when the main power is out must be connected by simply plugging it in. It's a little hard to spot but there is only one two-pronged plug it will fit into. Be aware that it will not light up even with the battery is connected until after you have wired into your main power. The 115 volt connections are just standard wiring that should be simple if you have every wired a ceiling fan or wall socket. The light does not come with any useful instructions but a QR code is available to download installation notes if you need them.In my case, I decided to just wire a standard wall socket plug into the light so that I can set it on a shelf in my garage and plug it in. It works great!Once the main power and battery is connected, removing the main power will cause the built in circuity to switch to the battery and you'll see the LED lights come on. There is a LED on the side of the light that turns RED when the power off and TEST button to verify when power is available. My 4-star rating for this light is based on two things, one the 90-minute battery life. A higher Amp hour battery could easily improve this. The other is it using a Nickle Metal Hydride battery which is subject to damage if left too long completely discharged. This light comes with a warning that it should not be left unplugged for more than 24 hours to avoid damage. Where I live, we have had storms that knocked out power for a week or more.

My basement has no windows and I have a bit of a workshop down there. As such I've always been worried that if the power was to go out I would be caught in a shop environment in the pitch black. This fixture is made by Lithonia which is a legendary brand in lighting. The light seems to be very high quality (as expected) and of course LEDs are a high upgrade from the old incandescents. It's very important to note that this fixture does not have a cord so it's not plug and play. You will need an electrician to hook this up. I assume that's because of the electric code - if the fixture was unplugged and left that way the battery would be dead making it useless. It's also important to note that the batteries inside are nickel metal hydride which while lower power than the lithium types there is no concern with fires as there is with lithium batteries. This makes me comfortable having this in my basement.

Ok, the light works great once you figure out one important thing which cost it a star. They don't include the instruction with the product. There's a QR code to scan to download them so now you have them on your phone where they are basically unreadable. Some may be thinking I don't need the instructions because I know how to wire a hot/neutral/ground circuit. That's not all you have to do. It comes with the battery disconnected and once you get the instructions to a device where you can actually read them they state that. So you have to connect the battery via a push on connector which they tell you to refer to a wiring diagram. The wiring diagram does not show the actual location within the unit and the wire itself is tie wrapped to other wires that go to a circuit board so it's not even obvious it's not connect because it's sitting on top of the connectors. There are 2 sockets that don't have wires one with 3 prongs and one 2 prongs. Install the wire onto the connector with 2 prongs. In the photo, I've included, it's the black wire. For perspective, with the lights on top, the circuit board is in the top right of the unit. The receptacle to plug in the battery is in the far top left corner. Also, I'm not sure what to make of this statement from the instructions: "Battery damage may occur if the battery is connected longer than 24 hours without continuous AC power provided. See also “Important Battery Information”." So what if the power is off for more than 24 hours. Searching the document for "Important Battery Information" resulted in zero hits.
