I’ve used one of these for years. Somehow I misplaced it. I’m sure it’s just stuck on the side or bottom of something. I might have left it in a car in a hard to reach place though. I needed it and immediately bought a replacement. Couldn’t think of a better tool.

It does everything you’d expect my only gripe is that it should have felt pads on the magnets that would prevent scratching painted surfaces also if the clips were hinged to allow for indipendent left and right adjustment along with the up and down adjustment in its standard configuration it would bring a really nice little tool to the point of being irreplaceable and a base to allow for the unit to stand up normally on no magnetic surface I know it’s adding double to the price and more potential points of failure but for what I use it for as much hobbyist and household uses as automotive related it would be nice to have an upgraded model capable of that but hey it’s still a killer unit and beats paying tool truck prices for the same tool with the OEM branding in it instead of rebranded logos that increase the price by 200% or so

I looked at the cheaper wire holders/ helpers and tossed up between buying something half the price of this, or buying lisle quality. I'm so glad I made the right decision. Today I wired a series of work lights on a trailer, and this made the job so much easier. The quality is 100%. Don't buy the cheaper stuff if doing soldering regularly. Very happy.

I've wanted to buy one of these for years and years but always got by in other ways (of which there are plenty). Finally picked one up and I love it. I'd almost give it five stars but the magnets, while decent, could be stronger...the arms are a bit easy to rotate inadvertently. jStronger magnets or perhaps some kind of indexing tabs would be a nice improvement.The clips are good, wish they would open up just a tad more, but they do their job (thin wall silicone tubing if you're doing small gauge wires, or a little heat shrink). The clips are standard items but they are staked in so if you ever want/need to replace them it'll be a little more work to do so (especially putting the new ones in) but it's totally doable. Very versatile and being able to remove the arms to stick one or both where needed is great.One advantage this has over the plethora of magnetic flex arm clips and such is the very compact size - great for tight places and under dash work.As near as I can tell, Lisle still makes these in the US, which is great. No marking on the tool or packaging to indicate otherwise, just the patent number stamped on the base.

I've had stuff like this for soldering on a work bench, but this takes it to a whole new level. This tool is EPIC! This makes soldering wires in vehicles so easy. Especially under the hood. the arms and the bottom are magnetic so it will attach to anything metal so that your hand are free for your soldering iron and solder. This enables me to get a perfect connection every time! If you do any wiring on vehicle this is an absolute must to step up your game. I have them in all of my tool kits. I've even attached it to my tool box and the hood of my truck to solder wires back together in the field. I would highly recommend. You will not regret it!

These little clippies of joy are an electronics repair persons' dream come true! Not only are they the right length of clip, but they are actually a three-piece design. Each clip has a small barrel that it is attached to, with a magnet on the side of the vertical post. These magnets attached to the vertical post, and the vertical post also has a very strong magnet at its base. This allows you to place this device strongly and securely to any metallic surface. I have a small hobby anvil Tech High attached this tool to the top surface, combined with the weight of the anvil, makes for a fantastic third hand, wire splicer assistant, and anything else my "mad scientist/ electronics geek" brain can dream up. This is a must have for any tinkerer, hobbyist, electronic repairer, or jewelry maker. Don't worry about the price, it is so worth it.
