This isn't cheap but it's the best - by far. And when it comes to a tube I rely on to transport black tank yuck, I'm not cutting corners with something cheap! I had one of these for 8 years and it finally got a big slit in the tube. Might have been from a yard guy spin-trimming. I thought about taping it up but decided to get a new one considering its function. BTW, installing the adapter is super easy and makes this really work well. When I got this new one I can still use the old adapter, so now have a spare The exit end shut off valve pretty essential. And the fitting to the ground pipe has snugly fit every pipe I've encountered. Sometimes you use the rubber seal and sometimes take it off to fit smaller pipes.

You can thow away all of your o-rings and baynet hoses with this system. Yea it is a little pricey but how many hoses and o-rings have you had to buy (even if you are new to RVing)? The hose spring reinforcement is on the exterior so the interior is smooth. The connection is a commercial "quick" clamp system and there is a really well designed sanitary connection system with a HD donut (that the majority of RV parks are requiring now).If you are serious about RVing this is a MUST have upgrade.

We live and travel in our motorhome full time, so the importance of a quality sewage pipe is high up on our list. We have used other brands and have always had issues. Not anymore! The quality of this sewage pipe with the addition of the cam-lock makes this sewage pipe the best solution for every RV'er.

Fantastic hose. Heavily built and by far the best hose I have ever seen in my 25 years of RVing. Years of experience in the oil field I can guarantee the cam-lock design is unbeatable, every liquid bearing truck we dealt with had a cam-lock connection. Cam-lock is the standard in the trucking industry. Lippert thought of everything on this one, except one thing. The 90 degree elbow at the discharge end is non-removable making it impossible to store in the bumper. As much as I LOVE this hose, I must return it.Lippert, PLEASE make this system more RV friendly.

I ordered my second kit for another trailer based on a good experience with my first. Second came in and the hose severed when I went to get it out for its second use. It took a little time but not an unreasonable length to get a replacement hose sent out free of charge. So far so good on the replacement. Functionally I love this product plus it is less likely to go missing in a campground because no one else can use it :)

The cam lock and smooth bore are the two features that can't be overlooked. Cam lock gives a very positive leak free seal ... quickly. Even collapsed the convoluted tube is fairly smooth on the inside making flushing/cleaning easy.If there's a down side its the extra inch it extends some RV waste dumps. Also, bumper storage is out as the hose and valve its a complete assembly. Both minor considering the benefits.Discharge end has a smooth rubber cone for a friction fit and quite pliable for a nice fit.Apparently some sites require a NPT threaded connection. I cant speak from experience if that is an issue or not.

I did a lot of research on sewer hoses before selecting the Lippert system. The only thing that you must know in advance is that the coupling that attaches to the RV black and grey tank outlet has to be permanently mounted.

Terribly disappointed with this system. Useless after three days!!! We are full time RVers and thought we had stumbled upon a sweet new set up. See my pics. The connection at the clamps slid completely out of its sleeve or what looks like a silicone hold. Granted it is 120 degrees in Hurricane, Utah as it was also in Las Vegas when I first used it.You don't always get what you pay for. Hopefully the company will reimburse me. I'll let you know.Update: they sent me a new hose. Same issue. These things do not withstand high heat locations. Great concept. Cheaply put together.

Installed this today in about 15 minutes (on my 2010 Jayco Melbourne 24e). I don't get the 2 most mentioned 'beefs' about this product? Having to remove the bayonet fitting - yah! because the cam lock is better, there's a reason that's the sewer industry standard! How to store the hose - have seen a couple of solutions. Pic below is my set up.Get it, you'll love it! One of the best RV accessories out there!UPDATE: May 22, 2017 - No regrets, still think its better than bayonett fitting. USAGE NOTE: If you drive through/down muddy road you will want to open the cap on your RV and clean the edge of the opening before the mud drys!

We recently purchased a used (new to us) Class C RV. Since the previous owners had upgraded to a larger Class A, they kept almost all of the support items like hoses and cables. We did a lot of research into sewer hoses and systems before selecting the Lippert. Even though we are occasional campers and not full timers, it is still important to outfit our RV with the best quality components. I am looking for products that last a lifetime. It’s also important to consider when traveling in a camper, you don’t have a lot of extra storage and space for redundancy, so carrying a backup is not an option.I watched several YouTube videos and was sold on the advantages. The smooth internal piping with wire supported outside makes flow through the pipe easy. I really like the end fitted valve as a backup in case of problems at the dump station. The clear plastic at the valve body makes it easy to see when you have fully cleaned and cleared your tanks and pipes.YOU DO NEED TO MODIFY YOUR RV OR CAMPER. I have seen reviews that bashed this product for that… but you need to know that before your purchase. That is the fault of the buyer not doing proper research. The installation videos and instructions talk about cutting the nubs off your typical sewer fitting and gluing the camlock adapter to it. With the location of our sewer connection being right behind our tire and facing straight down, we were fortunate to have enough pipe to cut the whole existing sewer connection off and replace it instead of retrofitting by sanding and gluing to the existing connection. The Lippert will glue directly to the thin wall 3” ABS type pipes commonly used in most RVs, so if this in an option for you, I would recommend doing it.I am sold on the advantages of CamLock for fittings compared to the nub and twist type that is the standard. CamLock is an industrial standard made to handle rigors of abuse. This stretches and collapses easily. It stores in a collapsed form easily. For us, it slides under the sewer valves in our under bay compartment. For those of you that store your sewer pipe in your square tube bumper: THIS WILL NOT FIT!!! The right angle end is permanently attached to the pipe so it will not slide in a bumper. For those Class A and C people that keep your pipes in an under carriage compartment, this works great as it is easy and efficient to store.Since our sewer output faces straight down, we did find that the initial flow would push the Lippert pipe down and stretch it, even if we had it on the Camco Sidewinder. We did manage to get it to stay well by keeping the Sidewinder more bunched up near the RV, but that was when we were within 10’ of our hookup. If we were farther away, nearing the 20’ length of the Lippert, that would not be an option. To make it easier to hookup and keep the Lippert pipe elevated, I was able to find an Aluminum 3” Cam and Groove Elbow on Amazon that now lets me adapt the Lippert pipe to exit parallel to the ground. Of course that added another $75 to the cost of sewer upgrade. All in all, I spent about $200 for this upgrade (with the addition of the elbow). Is it worth it. To me YES. I know several people that camp a lot during the season, and seem to be replacing their “Stinky Slinky” ever year or two. At 40 or 50 bucks each, I would rather have one that lasts a lifetime, then to have thrown 4 or 5 away before I have attained a return on my investment. I’m also very confident that I won’t have the experience of a cracked tube leaking black water while trying to dump.
