The bottom screen display flips out and starts displaying a bunch of gibberish and makes no sense about 5 minutes into a charge there's something wrong with it

Once I got through the manual and figured out how this charger works it is great! Charges faster and has more options than my previous charger. Had to make an adaptor to charge scx24 batteries but other than that is has everything I need.

Great easy to use charger! The fact that it is touchscreen makes it so much better. I’d charge my Lipo batteries a few times a week, and with the extra balance port I can charge more batteries at one time safely. This one is easy to use and easy to understand, everything is laid out there for you. It has amazing features with the discharge and balance of batteries it also allows you to charge different types of batteriesWith ease. I’m loving this so much I might buy another one and make it into a traveling charger. Great buy for anyone who uses their batteries quite often!

This is an impressive little charger. Handles lots of different kinds of batteries and has many adjustments for charge and discharge rates. There are various common plug ends available for use. However, the balance charging (a special mode designed to use the multi-pin connectors on the side to balance Li-ion batteries) fails to detect the battery. There is a special charge mode that needs to be selected to make this work (balance charge) but all attempts with various batteries fails to detect the battery. Will order a replacement, and if functional will update this review.UPDATE: After reaching out to customer support, and waiting a week, they responded with the attached picture which shows that to make balanced charging work correctly you need to connect BOTH the charge and the balance connector at the same time. This works for some of my batteries that have both connectors, but for those with just one connector this charger will not balance charge. Yes, I know I can come up with a jury rigged splitter for those batteries, but a better design would be to just use the balance connector like other chargers.

You cannot find anything for this price anywhere that does what it does. Do some research, you can but a $200 Traxxas charger and it charges Traxxas only. I have the following batteries for their respective cars Tamiya, Mini Tamiya, Deans, Traxxas, EC5 and I am probably missing some. Yes I had to spend another $5 for the charging cable for things like the EC5 but that is all you need then just plug it in and hit the type of battery and you are done. You can also charger two different batteries at the same time as well as multiple Lipos of the same kind at once. This is a must

This has worked great so far. I’ve only used the 2S lipo function so far. Mostly balance charging with it. I’ve done one fast charge. It’s worked great for all so far. I thought it was pretty easy to figure out using the supplied directions. If I start trying deeper level things maybe I’ll need one of the videos others have mentioned. Great value with the octopus cable (I hate separate cables), ac-dc converter, and battery bag. I wish it had an extension cable for the balance cable. The one on my battery is so short it can be tough to position it while in the fire bag. No fault of the charger.

It is actually very easy to use so don’t let the instructions scare you. You use this once and you will never look at another charger again. I mainly use it for nimh rc car batteries.... I set it at 4 amps and it will charge my batteries in about 25 minutes a piece. I had it set to 6 (highest recommendation per instructions) and it was done charging a battery in under 20 min but the battery pack seemed way too hot so that is why I lowered the charging power a bit....does fine now. If by chance something is wrong with the battery, the charger will pick up on it and beep to you. Never tried it it would pick up on a programming error.... you can see it do a battery check so to say when you first start the charging process. And it’s great that it will do all battery types and connections!

Getting back into RCs and technology has definitely changed. I'm new to lipo and this was a great charger to get started plus it will charge my current nicad/nimh batteries too. Doesn't hurt to watch some videos, read up, or talk to some people to get a basic knowledge of how to use lipo batteries first. It is very easy to set up and use after some beginners research on lipos. Very compact unit, but still packs some power. Comes with about every accessory you could need except the battery and whatever you want to play with. Seems like a good value.
