This yarn is gorgeous!! The color is so bright and it’s sooo soft! I couldn’t find it anywhere in stores or the makers website so thank goodness Amazon came through. Love this yarn and would use it again for another project!

I really love this yarn! I knitted 2 hats and 2 scarves, one set for me and one for a good friend. Although this yarn is fluffy it didn’t split while knitting, so it was easy to use and I love the color! Very good quality.

I used this yarn to make a prayer shawl that is donated to a local nursing home. It takes three skeins. A local Church recommended this yarn as they collect the shawls to be donated. Amazon has a nice selection of colors and sells them in quantities of three. The yarn is soft and comfortable.

I like the bumpy texture, it gives the scarf a textured look.

I love this yarn for making scarves. It's very soft and works up pretty quick. I just wanted to mention the color change. If you have an old skein of Candy Apple and then buy this to add to it, it isn't the same. The yarn is a lighter shade and has a smoother and shinier look to it than the old candy apple which seems fuzzier and has a duller appearance.

I made a afghan out of this yarn. So cozy, holds it shape and washes well

This yarn is warm, comfortable, easier to work with than the current blanket yarns and it holds up very well. I'm glad it hasn't been discontinued! I did have to search for the correct color because 11 years ago I made my newborn grandson a blanket out of Homespun yarn. That blanket has been all over the country. Every trip, every cold ride in a car, the blanket has been with him. It has been dragged all over and it lasted 11 years and thousands of miles before the blanket literally fell apart. "Grandma, I want another exactly like it only a little bigger." Thank goodness Lyon Brand Homespun hasn't been discontinued. I am in the process of making another blanket.

I love this Homespun yarn! It's so soft and is beautiful, especially in a simple pattern with a small stitch. I'm using Pearl to make a baby blanket for someone who likes neutrals and this is perfect, especially for a girl. The yarn has a subtle luminescence like a pearl that's just gorgeous when the light hits it. That said, I would use this as an external blanket, i.e., not as a receiving blanket or a crib blanket (unless baby is wearing pajamas) but more like a stroller/car blanket, where the blanket wouldn't touch baby's skin directly. It's soft but still a little rough for a baby. Which is why I'm also making an afghan for myself, lol. The variety/selection of colors is great as well. And I love the way the variegated colors fade into one another, the change is gradual and looks beautiful. I have several colors selected that I plan to purchase for future projects. There are a couple of things to be aware of: 1) That while this yarn doesn't shed, some colors do pile (e.g., 236 - Celestial Stripes). While it can enhance the beauty of the yarn/project (looks more heathery which is nice for capes, scarfs, etc.), the brilliance/intensity of the colors may become muted especially if the stitch is large/loose. 2) The texture of the yarn is bulky which requires additional control especially depending on the stitch so some don't recommend this yarn for beginners. I don't think it matters, just make sure you have a K hook or larger depending on how tight/loose your stitch is and test out a swatch of the stitch you're planning to use to make sure it will work. It literally took 6 attempts with the Celestial color before I found a pattern that didn't cause the yarn to lose it's sheen and brillance. It's an absolutely beautiful blend of teal, turquoise, blue, purple, dark pink, and a light yellow/green and smaller stitches best maintain both otherwise the texture will mellow and become more heathery as you work with it. Still beautiful, just a different look to be aware of if you use it. Interestingly, I didn't experience this with the Pearl color so it differs from color to color.Homespun has become one of my go to yarns when I'm seeking a bulky yarn. I highly recommend it.

This is lovely yarn to knit with. I made a beautiful blue teddy bear and it’s so soft and cuddly. The only problem I had with it was that, knitted on the recommended needles, it was too open for a toy. For a garment it would be fantastic, drapey and silky. I solved my problem by going down a needle size - and therefore teddy size. I plan to make a jacket or top from this yarn soon. It knits very easily in spite of being made up of several different strands. To sew up I recommend using a finer, toning yarn rather than this one which would be bulky. I love that there’s an ombré colouring which is quite subtle, too,

I've used this yarn before and absolutely love it. It's so soft, but as I've said in other reviews, it's definitely not one for beginners and is quite difficult to work with if you're not experienced. These colours are beautiful and classy and the yarn is perfect for knitting chunky winter warmers.
