The upper material is shiny black leather or caramel tan PU leather and the lining material is synthetic, which is both comfortable and durable.
Sound boards are screwed on taps. The shoe is classical Maty Jane easy strap style alongwith flexible outsole with a padded sole for comfort, and a padded heel collar to help protect Achilles tendon.
This shoe is well designed and made with excellent material, which is comfortable, flexible and durable for girls and boys to dance.

My daughter complained about foot pain in her regular run of the mill tap shoes. I did foot baths and rubs and tried different sizes, old worn ones, different socks and tights and still complained. Tried canvas and haven’t heard complaints since.

We love the easy strap on these tap shoes. I also like the look of the canvas shoe. My daughter says they're fairly comfortable and she's excited to start her dance lessons.

These tap shoes are great! My daughter has been wearing them for a few months now, and they've held up incredibly well. The quality is top-notch, and they're super comfortable. Got these for our daughters ballet/tap class as her old ones were a bit too small for her. They are very sturdy and have helped up through several uses so far. The material has a fabric vs plastic look to it. Surprisingly, it hasn't gotten dirty easily and any type of dirt that has gotten on it, has been very easy to wipe off/clean. Our daughter says it fits well (just right) and is comfortable when she dances in them.

Based on the size guide which says to go up a size for boys, I ordered a size 3 (street shoe size is 2) and they fit perfectly. They seem comfy—the insole is fuzzy which helps the foot not slide around and there is some padding for the back of the ankle. One thing to note is these are canvas so not shiny and they won’t match if all the other kids wear regular PU or leather. The material picks up dust and pet hair but seems a lot more comfortable so depends what you need. The strap is great—very adjustable and easy to use. Also, these are technically unisex but this Mary Jane style isn’t the usual one for boys so we needed to buy different ones for dance class. These are for making lots of noise at home in the kitchen
