I found this product impossible to use. It was nearly impossible to separate the tape from the backing, and I wound up using Scotch Tape instead. Very unhappy with the purchase.

At first it is tricky to separate the tape, but other than that it works really well. Quite strong for a thin semi-translucent tape. First few inches had a glue marks as shown on some pictures from other buyers, but the rest of the tape is good.

I like this tape for adding pages to my bible for notes. It is clear and sticks very nicely. I would buy again.

I use this tape, which was recommended by the pros for fixing a very expensive personal Bible that had been gifted to a friend of mine. The tape is very sheer, very supple, and easy to use. It practically vanishes on the page, even if the pages are super thin.

Uitstekend om documenten of boeken mee te repareren. De tape is heel dun en bijna onzichtbaar, zodat scheuren lijken te verdwijnen. Omde band te repareren heb je een ander type tape nodig. Voor de stofomslag perfect!

The tape was easier than I expected. Just need to take it slowly. I used it to mend and repair very delicate rice paper on a Japanese style light. Pleased with the result.

Despite my efforts to instill a reverence for books, my young kids pay absolutely zero regard for maintaining their state of completeness. Luckily, this tape does a great job of hiding their crimes, so to speak. Is it perfect? No. But it does quite a good job and its certainly fine for my purposes.A few notes: Especially with thinner pages, the adhesive is quite potent so take extra care when placing on delicate substrates. It's not perfectly transparent, but by lightly buffing with a bone folder (or any similar tool) I've been able to improve the opacity such that the underlying ink is far more discernible. The box dispenser mechanism (made of paper) is a bit fiddly, so I've improved it by using clear scotch/sello tape to keep it from coming apart. I've also taped some of the backer paper to the box so that it's easier to un-stick when pulling the tape off for another piece. With these improvements, this product is much more pleasant to use.

This book tape is just what I needed and was looking for to repair the binding on a couple books at home. Easy to cut and apply. The tape is not sheer at all, so not ideal if you need to place it over printing. Excellent though for repairing or strengthening interior spine bindings. I will order again. The package is a bit smaller than I was expecting, but I work at a library and all the tapes we use there are on a larger scale I suppose.

Perfect repair tape that is acid free and removable if necessary. Clear on actual pages but not so much if putting on a weak or dislocated cover. If you have a book that is old, possibly valuable, or collectible this is the recommended repair tape till a professional repair can be done

I've used this product extensively to mend tears in the dust jackets of books. It adheres strongly, is commendably thin, and works very well. I have repaired jackets that were in three or four pieces. They are now functional again (and I put them in a Brodart cover for further preservation).Of course, if placed inside the jacket the tape is invisible. However, some jackets are so badly damaged I have to place the tape on both sides of the tear. If the outer finish of the jacket is matte, the tape more or less disappears other than to mute any darker colors. On a glossy finish it is quite visible. This is a trade-off. I need to find a glossy tape that is as good. The product is claimed to be reversible with mineral spirits and I have found this claim to be accurate. Once I had to do this (the jacket was in pieces and I taped them together wrong) and it worked. A tip: don't be in a hurry. Get the paper good and wet with the mineral spirits and give the tape adhesive time to soften and release. Otherwise--as happened to me before I slowed down the process--the tape started to peel away the outer layer of paper when I tried to pull the tape off. I don't know the effect of mineral spirits on all dust jackets, but on the one I tried--which was uncoated paper--the chemical evaporated after a while leaving no visible trace. In sum, the product is what it claims to be and is recommended.
