Washed these in dishwasher as soon as they arrived. One came out with rust at nearly half of crossbars. Other, fine.

I've always used my cooling racks for baking meats, but you cannot use these that way. EVERYTHING sticks and they are virtually impossible to clean. Scrubbing sponges don't work, soaking doesn't work. Unless you plan to ONLY use as cooling rack, move on. The coating comes off easily when cleaning. Not very sturdy either.

The racks are actually chocolate brown/bronze, which I prefer. The photo and description say 'black.' I'm using the racks for plant watering; placed in a shallow tray, the racks keep the plant pots out of standing water and allows them to drain completely. I'd recommend for cooling baking racks or plant watering.

These two racks are just slightly longer than they are wide. They look almost square. I am happy to have them for cooling cakes, as it will be easy to hold one against the round cake pan and then flip it over to release the cake. I won't have a lot of extra wasted space taken up on my counter. One of these racks will fit in the corner of my kitchen while it cools.By that same token, I will be glad to have them for cookies too. Again, the square rack can be placed in the corner and out of the way while my baked goods get ready for consumption.The racks have four wire feet to keep the cooling food about half an inch off the counter. The grids are spaced closely enough to support cookies that are small. The racks feel sturdy. I am not sure if they can go in the dishwasher or not, but I hand wash mine. They fit in my cupboard with my larger cooling racks and are easy to store. I am happy to have this size in cooling racks for whenever I don't need a big one.

The cooling racks(2) came packaged well so no damage would occur in shipping. They are black and quite sturdy. They are perfect when baking a small batch of cookies. I recommend these cooling racks.
