Pretty strong clamp that holds the umbrella I needed.

These are solid clamps. It's hard to tell the difference between these and other clamps online, so I tried three different brands. While the Slow Dolphin clamps are similar to these, the LimoStudio clamps are a little more sturdy and well-built. I went with the LimoStudio clamps.

Like many of you, I got very frustrated at being unable to get a haircut for many months after this quarantine nonsense shut down "non-essential businesses," which means any place that might touch you. Haircuts qualify for that category, so no barbers have been open around here for 5 months. My hair began to look positively awful. In frustration, I decided I would cut my own hair. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to do it, the one stumbling block that I could see was holding the clippers with one hand and making the cuts while you held a mirror so that you could look behind you at another bigger mirror, letting you see the backside of your head. As anyone knows, this two-handed coordination thing is pretty darned difficult. It seemed to me that if I could somehow get something to hold my mirror, this self-haircut thing might work. That's when I started wondering if there were something I could mount to a tripod that could hold a small mirror. After some searching on Amazon, I came across the LimoStudio metal clamp. It looks like one of these potato chip clamps that you use to seal off an open bag. It says it has 1/4"-20 female threads, which match to a standard camera tripod. My question then was if its clamping force could hold my 1.5 pound mirror. I took a gamble on it because the price is right, a mere $15.When I examined it, I was very surprised at the very high quality of the clamp. Almost all metal, beautiful aluminum castings perfectly machined, no sharp edges, excellent black paint job. The joint that adjusts between ±90 degrees has detents built into it, meaning that once clamped in place, it will not budge. All this for only $15? The ultimate test was "how strong is the spring in the clamp?" I got out my little 5 kg (=11 pounds) digital scale, turned it on, and then closed the clamp down on the scale. Almost 10.5 POUNDS of force! This thing rocks!I got out my tripod, easily mounted the clamp on it (BTW: by flipping the little female fitting at the bottom of the assembly, the part where the tripod threads into it, you get a 3/8"-16 thread pattern, increasing the clamp's versatility), then put my 1.5 pound mirror in its jaws. Works like a champ! And with that, I was able to cut my own hair. Having both hands free is a major help to getting the job done, one hand to hold the clippers and the other hand to either work a comb or to just feel my hair as I made the cuts. When it was all done about 15 minutes later, it turned out pretty good. I certainly looked much better than I did with 5 months of hair growth! So good, in fact, that I don't think I'll ever be going back to a barber for the rest of my years. Just do it at home, at my leisure. No more having to make appointments and wait in line.In summary, this clamp is of excellent quality and with 10.5 pounds of force, it can hold almost anything you want to put in its jaws, particularly if you want to then put that "extra hand" on a camera tripod. Highly recommended!

This clamp works well on a light stand to hold reflectors or small mirrors, and I have also found it will hold a 12 x 24 mirror for bounce lighting if I mount it on a heavy tripod, using the included tripod adapter. Made of durable aluminum with steel 1/4/x 20 threaded fasteners. It has an umbrella holder also but I have not used it for that yet.

Son esos pequeños objetos, aparentemente insignificantes, pero nos resuelven grandes problemas a la hora de trabajar. Sobre todo cuando no se cuenta con ayudante o no tenemos muchas opciones para iluminar.

This clip holder is built very well and was designed with a lot of thought. It is very versatile and what it can be used for. I use it for holding my exposure cards and more. Great that it also can hold an umbrella. I am very happy!

Ha! What a great, great little product! This thing seriously has 1,001 uses! To be honest, it's everything I hoped it would be. It's very solid and well made. Super able to be adapted to work with 1/4"-20 mounts or light stands, and a really useful combination of size, weight, and PRICE.The clamp is strong. It will hold small and medium sized LED panels, a DSLR or Blackmagic Pocket Camera, bounceboards, flags, scrims, diffusors, 5-in-1 reflectors, cables, small children, YOU NAME IT.I am finding this little guy SO useful that I am absolutely going to order at least 3 or 4 more of them. For the price - this is one of the most useful pieces of rigging that I have.FWIW: I didn't even realize at first these were coming from KIM OUTLET, But I've dealt with them before on other items and found their customer service to be excellent. Should you ever need it.

I bought this as it was slightly cheaper than another brand here on Amazon. Really happy with the purchase. Does the job well and I like the few little features that are better than the other brand:1. Knurled grip on the clamp adjustment ring (whereas the other one had just a smooth surface)2. The brass female Screw Adapter Thread 1/4" & 3/8" is nice to have, so now I don't need to purchase it for light stand. Will have to see if it holds up over time, but overall great value and worth the price.

They work great! Packaging was nice and clamps are well built. I'm usually not a fan of LimoStudio's products (they tend to be entry level or cheaper-end gear), but these are nice and well made. Worth getting.
