It is mixed with a clear basecoat and reducer with urethane reducer to thin it for spraying. The final result is influenced by the base color applied beneath it. Follow manufacturer's instructions for proper mixing and application.

  • A transparent automotive paint that creates vibrant, luminous finishes by allowing light to pass through and reflect off an underlying base layer (e.g., metallic or pearl). This gives the paint job depth, sparkle, and a "glowing" effect.

  • Mix ratio: 3 parts clear basecoat (or intercoat clear) to 1 part candy concentrate.

    Thin the mixture 1:1 with urethane reducer (e.g., 4 parts mixed candy/clear + 4 parts reducer).

  • Apply over a **metallic or pearl base coat**. This reflective layer enhances the candy’s translucency, creating the illusion of depth and glow.

  • Multiple thin coats (3–5) are ideal. Candy paints are semi-transparent, so layering builds richness while avoiding oversaturation which could cause adhesion problems.
