I bent the ratchiting buckle on one of these after driving over a small stump in the snow this winter, but i was able to stomp it back into shape. My truck was stuck in the woods and these helped a ton with getting me out.

Worked well in ice and snow on mountain roads after a snowstorm. Just make sure to keep your speed below 20 mph.

I bought these anticipating chain controls in the Sierra Nevada, and didn't have to use. I did have the chance to put them on my truck beforehand to verify they fit. Installing them was easy and straightforward. The strap wraps around the inner hub while the chains stretch across the tire. I can't speak to riding on them yet, but getting them on won't take much time or effort. The only issue I have is that I have oversized tires, so I had to buy extra lengths of nylon cord since the included was a little short to fit around my tire.

Real nice quality Snow Chains. Fit my 265x60/20 truck tires just fine. Would also fit tires even a size or two bigger.

I was expecting to be underwhelmed since they were coming from China. I put them on my plow truck and they are holding up great and I have plenty of traction. The ratchets keep them far snugger than traditional tire chains. Warning !! My not pair well with smaller modern cars. There needs to be enough clearance between the rim and your brakes. I am going to buy another set to leave in my daily truck for emergencies.

The sizing of my tires wasn’t the issue with fitting, the straps wouldn’t wrap like described due to not enough spacing in the wheels and calipers.

We purchased this set of chains for a recent trip to Big Bear, which was still under chain restrictions. The chain installation was easy enough. However, we quickly noticed that something wasn’t quite right, and pulled over at the first available turnout. Two of the chains had been lost. While we were stopped, we took the opporunity to recheck the rest of the chains to see if they needed to be tightened. Just a few minutes after beginning to drive again, we heard a noise. There wasn’t anyone behind us, so stopped, and I got out of the car. About 6 feet back was a third chain that had fallen off. I grabbed it, and hopped back in so that we could pull over at a safer point. I noticed right away that it was missing the orange plastic piece, which had apparently snapped away from the chain causing it to fall off. I am certain that is what happened with the two that we were unable to recover from the mountain road. At the first available place to safely pull over, we got out to check the chains. Luckily, we found that the one orange piece had somehow lodged in the tire well, and we were able to snap it back together with the chain. We made it up to Big Bear without further incident. Once the chain restrictions were lifted, we immediately removed them from our tires. I have requested a refund as these were a terrible product for us at best, and dangerous at worst. In the future, we will most definitely be purchasing an entirely different chain system for our vehicle. We were extremely frustrated, and very disappointed in the product.
