The size of the openings and the depth of the rack make fountain pens fit perfectly. I can't say whether the wood could scratch the finish, but I thought it best to line the openings and the base with felt to be safe.

I had an idea -- I bought the bundle of this test tube rack and a bunch of test tubes to (hopefully) use as a flower vase/holder. It worked! The rack blends in with my decor, the tubes fit in the rack perfectly, and the tubes are wide and deep enough to hold at least a couple of stems. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this to hold my Scentbird perfumes and it works great. The only downside is that the holes are a little too big so the perfumes don't fit in there perfectly. That said, they fit so I'm happy.

This was perfect for what I needed. I wanted a holder for all of my e-mods as I was tried of them falling over. The wood cuts very easily and sands easily with a dremel as well. I filled the divots with bondo for the main fill and then clear epoxy to fill in the smaller spots left behind. Then I put some felt over it and now it has a nice flat surface for the mods to sit on and the holes in the upper part keep them from falling over.I am sure it works well for test tubes out of the box but it also is great for any custom project.

This stand is absolutely perfect for storing my Furls Crochet Hooks, which are much thicker and rounder than typical hooks and, therefore, harder to find storage for. I previously purchased two handmade wooden stands that are beautiful and very well priced for something handcrafted, but they came from the Ukraine and shipping is over $20 apiece! This stand is a little over $20, very well made, quite sturdy, holds 24 hooks, is good looking, and shipping was free with Prime! Plus the hooks fit into it perfectly (see photo). I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to any collector of handmade ergonomic crochet hooks.

I bought this so I could display my Furls crochet hooks since they are special to me. And expensive! I’ve been looking at crochet hook displays that are handmade on Etsy and they end up being $85 plus shipping. They look extremely similar to this test tube holder. I am very pleased with my purchase. It does exactly what I was hoping it would do, display and protect my hooks. It’s sturdy, attractive, made of nice wood and put together well.Just so you have a frame of reference for size, my crochet hooks are 6 inches tall. I also have a picture showing my iPad mini and my iPhone 7 so you can get an idea of size. I have this sitting on the 8-cube I bought at IKEA. Thee top of it is 15 inches deep from front to back. I would definitely purchase again.

Simple footprint, nice clean lines, sturdy construction—just what I needed for efficiently storing and protecting jewelers saw sawblades. My only 'complaint' is that the little domed areas meant to secure the bottom of a test tube are just a tad shallow, so setting the tube back in place takes two more seconds to make sure it's properly seated. Hardly worth mentioning, and I'm sure I'll figure out a tweak for that, if in fact those two seconds actually start to add up, lol. I'd advise going with the test tubes they have linked to this rack, as the are a good fit, and are extremely well packaged against breakage during shipping.
