This was relatively easy to set up - took my husband and son maybe 20 minutes. My son did get snapped on the finger a couple times with the bands that hold the net to the frame, but other than that they didn't have any major issues or frustrations. The biggest complaint we have is that once its assembled, its not that easy to move. I definitely wouldn't consider it "portable". We wanted to be able to load it up and take it to the park to practice because our kids have outgrown the backyard. They are used to carrying the collapsible goals down, and we have a wagon if they really are hauling a lot. But this thing requires one of us to drive them down to the park and pick them back up. Which isn't horrible, but if they walk its about 5 blocks because there's a path that cuts through the neighborhood. If we drive, its almost 10 minutes each way.Once they got there and was using it, they found out that the soccer ball has to hit the net right in the middle or it pops it straight up into the air and doesn't really rebound. Additionally, they did stake the frame into the ground, but still had to re-adjust it every 5 kicks or so. So yah, a block wall would be more functional and reliable if we could find one in the right location.

Title says it all...it was easy to set up and provides a lot of practice value for my son who plays soccer. It is stable and is good for all ages.

The idea behind this thing is so simple, yet it doesn't work quite like you'd imagine. Before I get into that, I'll start by saying that setting this thing up is a bit of a pain. The elastic bands that attach the net to the frame get progressively more difficult to put on as you add more and more of them. One of them slipped out of my hand and snapped me directly onto the tip of my pinky which basically made my entire hand numb during the install. It was an accident but things like that happen when you're working with things under tension. The big problem for me with this thing is that its too small and it doesn't rebound the ball unless you hit the net in just the right spot. That might be fine for someone who plays soccer professionally, but for the 7 year old who simply needs to practice they'd be better off kicking the ball at the side of the house. Another issue that I can see coming up soon is that the material of the net feels cheaply made. Once that net rips the entire thing basically becomes trash. With all that being said, he's going to continue trying to make this thing work for him as he really wants to improve, but I'm going to keep looking for a better solution.

This is exactly what my 8 year old aspiring soccer player needs to practice her accuracy in kicking. Well made and easy to assemble. Took maybe 10 min and she was ready to go! Left out in the rain for two days came back to it and worked and sprung as well as the day we set it up.
